You may or may not have noticed, but these forums are actually a version higher than the last ones.. This means they'll run faster and will work even better.. actually maybe a little too well...
Maybe it's happened to you, you were posting and when you click to send it, you're suddenly not logged in anymore.. or you were just browsing and then you have to re-log in to post.. thats because the session timer in these forums actually works.. the timer counts a certain amount of time while you're idle (doing nothing or reading posts) and if the timer expires, the forums will think you left the site, and will log you out.
To prevent this, i've just set the timer to double the amount of time it used to be.
Another thing you guys could do to prevent this is you should click that 'Auto Login' box right beside the login boxes.. this'll send your browser a cookie (hopefully) and never log you out when the timer expires. (this solves all the problem)
A last thing (I usually do as a backup, cuz all 'good' forums have this timer =P) is to select all your post, especially if it was a long post, and copy it into memory (Ctrl-C) so you can paste it (Ctrl-V) again right after loging back in.
