Tina Simpson sent me the latest news on Ashlee:
She has been in the studio recording and writing songs. She is working with Sugar Ray's drummer, Stan, who is one of the writers for Sugar Ray's songs...she is doing punk/ska style music with a pop/rock flair...she has not signed to a label yet but she has 4 labels vying for her contract. Her music is very fun just like Ashlee!
She is also shooting several episodes of Seventh Heaven starting mid july where she plays opposite Simon as the girlfriend who is not very good for him. This will air when the new season starts in the fall.
She has 2 movies in the works but no details available until deals are complete & contracts signed.
This is all the Ashlee news Tina sent me, and I don't have any other details.

i was just searching around at that came up. it's from a jessica simpson forum...let's just hope her sister's not a ditsy poser trying to make money...the link said she riding on the new wave in pop music started by avril lavigne
