AVRIL BREAKS RECORD
Canada's own Avril Lavigne has just broken an American radio record. Her hit "Complicated" was played on U.S. radio 9,205 times in last week. Avril has managed to break the previous record, which was set by fellow Canadians Nickelback. Last year, Nickelback's "How You Remind Me" had clocked in with 9,050 plays on U.S. radio in one week. Lavigne's debut album, Let Go, has just set a record on the American SoundScan charts by being the first album by an individual artist to see an increase in sales for five consecutive weeks. It is currently sitting at #5 in both Canada and the U.S.
