breifly browsing through the members section (u know that lists all the members)

This i think seriously needs clearing up!! There are members who joined way back when and made 1 or 2 posts or non at all, can you wipe these off? it makes it increasingly difficult to search for someone, when ur sifting through pages of unjust members :)

well I guess that could be done but I think on order to do that we'd have to delete those members, and ya never know if they might come back. Besides I think Drew said something aboot how that affects the board for security reasons .. iono. But I dont think anyone actually goes through the whole member list thing eh?

But with wot chris was saying - I think that those members that dont bother to post and only signed up for the sake of it, however many months ago, shud b taken off. Ok, i know not everybody goes thru the whole member list, but if u do wanna those ppl just make it a mess. If they havnt posted b4, they've probably forgotten about the site, or forgotten their password or sumthin by now and probably aren't gonna come back... but hey, if u cant change the list, u cant change it... no harm....

Keeping the 0 post members makes it look like the board is bigger and more active.

I've fixed the My Assistant bug, thanks for pointing that out :) (and clicking on the links in the My Assistant pannel affect ONLY the main window where you see the forums)

As for 0 post members, they would be easy to take off, but then i'd have to check each one to see if they were banned. For security reasons we keep a record of every member that has registered here at AvrilStar, so ppl don't use the same email twice, or banned people don't have the chance to come back. Its not 'better' for the database to delete members anyways.

As for searching through the member list, make sure you use all the tools there... at the bottom there are options on how you can search better. Like if you click that box called 'Search all available' and change it to 'Name begins with' and put 'S' in the box on the right, you'll get all the people that have a name starting with S. Other than that you can order people by their post count, in decending, to make all the 0 posters end up last instead (which would be like deleting them)

There's nothing free about AvrilStar :P its not hosted by InvisionFree but by my own server. thats why i have so much control over it.

And i could delete members without affecting the 'member count' its just a number, if i wanted i could pump it up to whatever i wanted :P
