[important] Crack-down On Signatures

With a new season starting here at AvrilStar, there will be new rules that will be implemented to promote posting and respect towards not only moderators, but other users as well.

One first thing i'd like to see here at AvrilStar is respect towards those users who are still on modems by toning down on your signatures. I know there's a 'kill the signature' feature for those who don't like viewing your sig, but some people are really abusing the privilege you have of putting images in a signature. Its not a webpage, its just something you can personalize at the end of your post.

There are many signatures that are unacceptable right now.. and will have to be changed. Some are too big in height (usually you want your signature no bigger than your average post), others have way too many images in them. So please see that your signature is of respectable size :)

In a week from now, those who still haven't done anything about their monstrous signatures will be pmed by an admin asking them to cut down on their sig, and if they still don't listen, their signature might be deleted entirely.

Having a decent sized sig is showing respect to other readers.. I know together we can make this board the very best Avril board out there.. we just gotta work together.. its your forums after all, you guys make it what it is, you guys are the users, without you, this board doesn't exist :)

The ones that really need some trimming are those with pictures (not banners) and big-font text.

PunkyMalone It's a little text heavy, but its technically the same hight as Avril*wannabe's so its fine.. plus you're using small fonts so its all good ^^;; I just won't want people to put like a whole song there or something.. thats just pretty pointless :)

avi_rawks_my_sawks, yea thats way too big, especially since you're just taking those and you didn't make them.. try cutting it down to only 3 banners your three favourites.. its a sig you can change it every month if you like.. youdon't have to put all the banners you like all at once :)

This is a really good idea. I hate scrolling past long sigs, it's really annoying. But then again, I'm not sure if my siggy is way too big or annoying lol. And I agree with jess...out of all the Avril boards I go to, this one is the best.

i tried to change it but when i tried to delete part of my sig, it didnt work....it just said that there was an error and it said that i had posted more images than i could have but i wanna make my sig shorter but i cant cuz it wont let me!!

Yes, the only problem is that with this board, the number of images you can post in a sig has to be the same as the number of images you can post in a post.. like if i kick it down to 3 images per sig (which is what i would want to do) ppl could only post up to 3 images per post.

But I'll consider that option :) As for sigs that are too long, we'll start phase 2 of this 'crack-down'
