New Design (Need YOUR Comments!)

Ok, soon this whole site will be hosted by one of my good friends. I still have to get a domain name (and *cough* a credit card) but as soon as i get those, I'll move the site to the new super fast server.

With the new domain name as a theme, I'd like to make a new layout.. Include everything everyone has been sending me lately and that i couldn't put up on the current site.

Here's where I need your help:

Should I make a more traditional layout? More like the forums layout.. no popup window, just all the text is visible and the page is lengthy. Kinda like every other Avril site out there right now.

Or

Should I keep my own style of layout using popup windows? Which i know annoys some people?

I'm also interested in knowing what you guys wanna see in the site. I wanna make the best Avril website out there.. and with this new server, I can make it happen :)

:D Love this site! Keep it the way it is, but WAYYY FASTER! On my slow computer with dialup, it takes at least 1 min to load one page. Make sure the background is white/pale colour so that we can read the text and it doesn't hurt our eyes. Keep it simple.

It's nice that you have the option of Non-Popup/Pop-Up. I just pick the Non Pop-Up option. Go with what you like. It's your site. The only bone I have to pick is with the annoying slide-down ads that obscure the whole frickin' page, though. They have to go.

ok i'm thinking of making different layouts, maybe a popup, a flatout, and a 56k-friendly one. But i mean, people are free to chose anyone layout they want, so like patient 56kers can still view the pop up which will load much much faster than it does now.

btw the new site will have no slide-down ads.. i have no control over those here, because of lycos, but on the new server, there will be no ads at all :)

So what you liked about that one was that the forums had many layouts? Well they use the same forums I use, i guess i could just enable multiple layouts :P
