Yesterday, Lycos.uk.co decided that the main Avril site wasn't conforming to its terms and without notice, they deleted the site and sent me this email:
Dear avrillavigne,
You have failed to fulfil the Terms and Conditions of Lycos Tripod and
therefore your website and your account were deleted.
"Remote loading"
I didn't really understand at first what this remote loading issue was, so i inquired amongst other Lycos users and here's the response i got:

Remote loading is the process of using files to be used on another
source...
For example, your images may be trumpet.jpg but it appears on another
website.
Equally, it may not even be a JPG file but another format, and the
other website has instructions on how to change it so it CAN be used
as intended.
This is quite a common practice with MP3, RA, etc. files and usually
results in excessive bandwidth where webhosts will simply delete the
account rather than advise the member where the problem lies.
If you have NOT been using your account for this purpose, then
someone has hotlinked your website, and you need to contact LycosUK...
To my knowledge we weren't doing any of that, the only thing i could see is that maybe people started hot-linking our images to their sites or on other forums, but I can't be sure that would cause our site to suddenly become non-conform to their rules.
Anyways, the main site should be put back up in a week or two, once everything is set up on the new 'real' host. I'm just a little pissed because all our news are lost and our link from google will most likely be reset and we'll lost all our traffic.
Just thought i'd let you all know :)
