Hi,

I think it would be a good idea to have a First Name box in our profile and it showed by our names... not everybody know's everybody's names... :P

It'd be a great idea to see their names so we know who's talking to who!!

Or we could just make a thread that's like "hey what's everyone's name?" and then everyone who wants to post their name is all "bob bobson" or something like that and then you'll know, they'll know, and we all could live without more crap next to our names.

In other words, maybe 1/3 of the people would put their real 1st name and other people would just put something else in it instead. It's not really worth the effort because only a few people who wish others to know will use it.

Thats a good idea, but not everyone will put their real name, I mean just look at the 'Location' option, rarely do ppl put their actual location :P

hey, how about we take location away from the posts and put real name in then? so we can easily see their name :)
after all, it's all fake like mine :P (EDIT: I forgot, mine isn't fake :P )

hrm, i'd have to mess with the PHP files for that.. i don't think i'll be doing it yet, cause i want to upgrade the forums script first and i'd loose all that work if i do...

don't update IPB until v.2 comes out because we will loose our mood and all kinds of add-ins. the version 2 should come out in january or so, it's SO COOL! check it out at invisio company's forums :D

Yes i've also got my eye on version 2.0, but i'll need to upgrade sooner or later from 1.1 to 1.2 to 1.3 if i want to get to 2.0 cause there's no batch upgrade script

I made the moods myself so i know exactly what to change to add them back in.. its not a big deal really.

And that thing will come out as soon as i upgrade.

(BTW: maybe this is a simple suggestion: can u keep the groups simpler? :blink: there's like 5 groups for banned, 20 for mods, 8 for members, and each group for each admin :P too... confusing....)

see i told you people what would happen if you broke the rules i set. shoulda've followed them.. it was working... shoulda had a mod on it...... oh well not like i care anymore bout it cuz it didn't go anywhere...

but yea that and the music thing was a good idea.. maybe you can have those in the update.. be something new for people to go to so it doesn't get too boring having the same old same old all the time :)

oh and howabout a mod request thing kinda like the sig request. i've seen this in other forums.. you can make out the questions they have to answer why'd they think they should be mod. and the sich could make it easier for you to pick mods. :)

ur user name is your nickname... most people don't call you your real name... infact, hardly anybody :P
so that just keeps it easier so we can see ur name if we forget!

yeah, which defeats the purpose of the nickname. if i, for example, intended to be called by my real name on here i would've made my username 'Jake.'

yea well i said moderators i was using the sig request as an example. and yes i kno they will pick mods when they want but it was just a suggestions.

oh yea i'm getting this just that some are only bounty hunters of a sort. whereas others are bounty hunters that go after anything with a bounty. usually meaning people :P
