Daydream

Okay here is my story called "Daydream". I got help from the wonderful writer Willmara, or Scarypuffringo, and I also got help from the title from Kirsten, or AvrilandEvan22.

Daydream

“Hey you.” Avril said, leaning against the door leading to Evan’s room.

Evan looked up and saw Avril standing there, looking at him. “Hey Av.” He said quietly putting his book down. “Cmere.” He said, beckoning for Avril to come sit next to him. Avril smiled and walked to where he was half lying, half sitting on the bed. She climbed ontop of the bed and sat next to him, snuggling close. “I’m assuming the camera crew left already.” Evan said, putting his arm around her.

“Mhm-hmm.” She mumbled closing her eyes.

It was mid June and the camera crew for MTV’s diary had been filming them the whole day. Avril and Evan were staying up in Toronto for a bit and they were going to go to L.A. to start recording for Avril’s next cd. They had been living in a hotel together, writing songs together, but most of the time, they were doing other things. Usually goofing off and having fun is what they did together, besides make music. It was amazing how close those two were, they knew each other like the back of their hands. They would make the cutest couple, 99% of the world told them, but they didn’t let them get to that because they already had a perfect relationship, they figured it couldn’t get any better.

Avril opened her eyes and turned her head so she was facing Evan. She saw him just staring at the ceiling, so she did the same. She breathed in and just lay at the cream colored ceiling, taking the calm and serenity of the night in, then exhaling it out. She slowly closed her eyes and then slowly opened them up again. Evan turned to look at her and he gently held her hand. She only smiled, then squeezed his hand tightly. He laced their fingers together and decided to stare at her instead. He turned to his side still holding her hand and just looked at her. Avril noticed his intense stare on her a couple seconds later and turned to her side to look at him. She smiled softly and just stared into the beautiful eyes of her one and only best friend. Avril saw a whisp of blonde hair fall into his face, covering his eyes. She reached over and brushed it off but kept her hand on his cheek. She slowly ran her finger down his nose and just watched him. Evan only smiled and pulled her closer. No words were spoken and no words had to be because Avril and Evan had such a great connection; they already knew what the other was thinking. Most people would think it was love but they only thought of it as great friendship.

“Let’s watch a movie.” She whispered, breaking the silence.

“Okay” He said back.

They slowly got up, still holding hands and walked over to the living room. They sat on the couch and Evan turned the television on. As he did that Avril got up and said. “I’m gonna change.” She was still wearing a white tank top and camouflage pants from earlier. “Don’t start without me.” She said.

“Okay, I will.” Evan joked. She took off her shirt, leaving only her bikini top.

“Haha very funny.” She said rolling her tank top up. She started to go to her room but something told her to go back to make sure he didn’t start the movie without her.But, like he said, Evan had already started the movie without her. Avril walked behind the couch and pulled his neck back lightly with her tank top. “I told you not to start it.” She said leaning her head on his shoulder.

“And I told you I would.” He replied.

“Well, I’ll never get to change unless I don’t watch the movie.” She said.

“Fine don’t change. But leave your tank top off. I like you like that.” He said.

Avril lightly gasped at his teasing then bitting her bottom lip she uttered in a low voice.“In your dreams.”

“Fine, I won't start it until you come back.” He finally gave in.

“Thank you.” Avril said very pleased. She gave him a kiss on the check and ran to her room. Evan just smiled and decided to see what was on television before she came back.

Avril decided to take a quick shower before she watched the movie with Evan. She grabbed her things and headed to the bathroom. Evan heard the water start and he rolled his eyes. “Av!!!” He muttered with a shrug. He got up and went to her room to go wait for her there. He sat himself on her bed and just stood staring at the picture on the bedside table that had caught his eye. A picture of Avril and him. He felt a smile grow on his face as he picked the picture up; he looked at it and was mesmerized at how beautiful she looked. She had the prettiest of the smiles on and she looked... Evan tried to come up with a word to describe how she look and perfect was the only word that was coming to his mind. He was absolutely captivated by the thought of her that he didn't even hear the bathroom door open. Avril walked quietly over to Evan’s side and sat next to him, placing her hand on his shoulder.

“Hey. What are you looking at?” She asked softly, the side of her mouth mouth kicking up a little.

Evan gave her a small smile and said. “I love this picture. You’re so beautiful.”

Avril looked at the picture of them together and then looked up to his face. “I am not beautiful but I do love this picture of us.” She whispered.

“Of course you are!” Evan jolted, his voice lower than hers. Avril felt her face getting flushed and could no longer look at him, for his intense gaze was making her feel.. an indescribable feeling. A feeling that was a mixture of awkwardness and... something Avril couldn’t quite put her finger on. As she was thinking, she suddenly felt Evan lean over and gently place a nice kiss on her cheek.

“Let’s go.” He said, holding her hand and leading her to the living room. Avril stayed quiet, trying to push back a thought that was trying to control her mind. And on her bed, lay the picture of Avril and Evan, who in the picture had their arms wrapped around each other tightly and their faces were pressed together, they were adorable. They were best friends and the most adorable ones at that.

okay well here's the next chapter.. i'll post the next chapter... i have no idea actually lol.. but um yeah.. i'll try to post the next chapter on saturday if you guys want it. thank you all for your wonderful comments. And METEORA im glad you liked it, but I don't like the idea of avril and jesse together. sorry! im a hardcore avril and evan fan lol. but yeah thanks for all your comments. well here you go and thanks again to willmara for editing and revising it for me! you rock willmara!!!

There they lay, Avril and Evan on the couch. He sprawled out and she cuddled next to him, they both looked so innocent. Evan was playing with her hair while she lay there, smiling and looking at the television, though she was not paying any mind to it; she was too buy thinking of how good it felt, Evan's fingers running through her hair. Evan was very preoccupied doing nothing but everything with her hair, twirling it in his fingers, putting it up, putting it down, everything. Avril bent her head a bit back so she could stare up at his face and saw him working fixedly with her hair with a serious expression plastered across his face. Avril’s face broke into a smile and she brought her hands up to his and brought them down to her shoulders. “You have a serious fascination with hair.” She said, her voice cracking into a laugh as she looked at him with a gleaming look in her eyes.”

“Yes, yes I know. But I can’t help it. It’s so... Interesting. And no I’m not gay.” He joked lightly, making her laugh pretty hard. Evan’s hands, which were located on her shoulders, started massaging them and slowly easing the kinks out of her shoulders. Avril felt that and moaned.

“That’s just what I needed. Thanks Ev. You’re wonderful.” She said, her voice very light and distant, for a instant she felt like she was leaving Earth and going to a place where everything was perfect.

“I try, I try.” Evan joked lightly, his hands slowly working magic onto Avril’s shoulders. Evan suddenly got an idea; it was like a lightbulb going off in his head. “ Avril, come with me.” He said suddenly and unexpectedly, making Avril open her eyes quickly. She sat up and Evan got up from his position lying on the couch, and started walking towards his room. “Follow me.” He said, over his shoulder. Avril wondered what he was thinking and decided to just go with him.

Evan opened his door and when he did he pointed to the king sized bed lying in the middle of the room. “ Go lie down.” He ordered. Avril suddenly got more confused than she was already, she did not know what Evan was thinking about. She looked at his face, but it did not give anything away...

Avril scrunched her nose and put her hands on her waist. “Why?” She demanded.

“Because.. come on Av, you’ll like it.” He said very cunningly because Avril took her hands off her waist and shrugged, walking over the bed. She looked at it and then sat on it. Evan started walking over to it and said, “Okay now lie down with your face first.” Avril’s mind grew blank. What was her best friend thinking? She reluctantly climbed up to the top of the bed and did as she was told. She lay down for a few seconds, then she felt a body hovering over her. Avril felt hands gently start to massage her back. Those hands of Evan worked wonders, Avril thought to herself as she felt his hand slowly work on her lower back. Evan now was running his hands up and down, his hands clenched in fists so his knuckles grazed her back.

Avril felt pure bliss during this all, it felt so good and it was so nice to have Evan doing this for her. Avril let him continue massaging for a few more seconds then she slowly twisted her body so the back of her head was lying on his pillow. Evan was on top of her while she was under him, smiling shyly and looking slowly up to him, then taking her gaze to the size of the room where there lay Evan’s guitar, which she became absolutely mesmerized with. After a few seconds of looking around the room Avril decided to shatter the silence that filled the air. “Thanks so much Evan. It felt so good and it felt righ-good…” She said with difficulty. And when she tried sitting up, she got the wrong position she had intended. Avril and Evan’s legs had been entwined, his being in the middle, hers outside of his. While she tried getting up right, she had tossed Evan so he was on his back and she was laying ontop of him. They were on the foot of the bed as Avril’s hair dangled in Evan’s face; he put her hair behind her ears and as he did that, Avril put her hands on his forearm and gently ran her fingers through his arms.

Evan got goosebumps and he felt his body get this tingling sensation that never once in his life had he gotten until now. It felt so good to have her ontop of him, making him feel this feeling that had overcome him, Evan thought to himself. He looked up at her face because he had felt teh intensity of her gaze on him. Avril realized Evan was staring back at her, she blushed and then realized that if anybody had seen them right at that moment, they would’ve thought something was going on and gotten the wrong idea. “Oh I’m sorry. I’m probably hurting your legs.” She apologized, quickly getting off from ontop of him. Avril got herself up on the floor and she started heading towards the door. “I… I’m going to sleep now... Goodnight.” She said leaving without turning to face Evan.

Evan sat up and looked at the place where Avril had just been standing and sighed. That warm feeling was still sending waves throughout his body. He tried to shrug it off but that wasn’t working. He sighed again and fell back onto his bed. Weird thoughts were going through his head and were blurring his vision up pretty badly. He blinked and thought about how close her face had been to his. Avril’s fingers’ lightly grazing his arm was an amazing experience. And that newfound feeling he had gotten wasn’t that bad either…

Avril laid down on her bed and held her pillow close to her, hugging it tightly. She pretended the pillow was the guy she was thinking about... And with that thought she quickly fell asleep…



Avril stirred; the sunlight coming from her window was very bright and making her eyes hurt. Avril turned and grudgingly got up and went to go to the bathroom to do her normal morning stuff. She walked out of the room and headed towards the bathroom. As Avril made her way through the hotel room, she passed by Evan’s room; she peeked inside and found his bed unmade and empty. Avril felt slightly disappointed because she loved to see Evan when he was just getting up. He always looked adorable when he was bleary-eyed with pillow creases on his face. Avril shrugged the thought of Evan in the morning out of her head and went to the bathroom. She tried opening the door but it was locked. ”Oh gosh!” Avril thought. The reason she always tried waking up a bit earlier than Evan was that she could go to the bathroom first because Evan took forever to fix his hair. “ Evan..” She grumbled. “ I really need to pee!!” She said exasperatedly. She put her ear to the door and waited to hear something. Nothing. “Evan!!” She exclaimed impatiently.

“Fine fine! Hold on! I’ll be out there in a minute!” She heard him say from the other side of the door. Avril groaned again and then got an idea, she started banging on the door and kicking it. Suddenly the door flung open and out came Evan looking cross. “I said I would be out in a minute.” He said through clenched teeth.

“In your mind one minute equals a century. “ She replied. Evan rolled his eyes and went to his room. He was not a morning person….



Later that day, Avril and Evan were in the living room, guitars in hands and ready to play... but nothing came to their minds. Avril slouched on the couch and Evan put his guitar down. “Av, I’m gonna make a quick phone call. I’ll be right back.” He told her getting up.

“Okay.” She said trying to search her mind for a new idea for a song. Evan walked to his room and left Avril wondering who he was gonna call…

“Hey Matt. It’s Evan.” Evan said, calling his friend in Baltimore.

“Oh! Hey, man. What’s up?” Matt greeted him warmly.

“Nothing much. How are plans going with Ditch Ruxton and all?”

“Everything’s piecing itself together. When are you coming so we can start rehearsing?” Matt asked.

“I’m still trying to figure that out.” Evan said…

It had been pretty longs since Evan had left. Avril looked at the clock. Five minutes had passed. “That’s it!” Avril thought. “I’m going to see what Evan is up to.” She walked over his room and slowly opened the door…

“Yeah make sure everything’s perfect. I don’t want anything to go wrong.” She heard Evan saying to whomever he was talking to on his cell phone. Avril’s mind was wondering what he was talking about.. “Okay…” She heard him say. Avril completely opened the door and walked in. Evan’s eyes suddenly darted up and he saw Avril standing at his door with a confused look on her face. “Listen Matt, I’ll talk to you later.. bye.” He said quickly. He threw his cell phone on his bed and stared at Avril... ” Hey!” He said nervously.

“Who were you talking to?” Avril asked him suspiciously.

“Matt H..”

"Is there a special something going on?” She pressed.

“Not really?” He said.

“Evan, come on! Be honest! Is something important happening?” She asked again.

Evan gave in. “Yes.”

“Well... What?” She asked impatiently.

“Well… I can’t say at the moment.” He said, his voice drifting as he spoke...

“Why not?” She frowned, growing a bit angry.

“Because it’s just not the right time…” He responded in a very calm voice.

“Right time my ass! I thought we were best friends-“

“We are" Evan said, cutting her off quickly, not getting where that outburst of her came from.

“-Well best friends don’t keep things from each other. I’ve been completely honest with you since the first day that we met. And now I come to find that the person who I thought was my best friend is keeping things from me. That’s just great.” She said, angrily stomping out of his room and slamming the door behind her.

Evan stared at the door and angry thoughts came to his mind. “Why did Avril have to blow things way out of proportion?" He thought angrily. He was angry with her for getting angry with him for no good reason. But then the thought dawned on him and he realized that he should’ve just told her. But then again, she would have probably been mad for not telling her in the first place. He tried clearing his thoughts out of his mind and grabbed the hotel room key. He needed to go for a walk and think things through. He grabbed a black hoodie out of his suitcase and pulled it over his head. Toronto could get very cold, even during the summer, after all it was Canada. He put some shoes on and walked out of the hotel room.

Avril heard the hotel door close and she punched her pillow with all the might that she had in that body of hers. First of all she was mad at Evan for not telling her and second, she was mad that he had kept secrets from her. Avril felt a pang in her heart, which brought tears to her eyes. She quickly dried her tears off and crossed her arms. Avril had no idea why she was feeling that way, so... so betrayed. She had never cried over a guy, even when she had been dumped, and she was not going to start now. Avril wiped some of the fallen tears and used all the mind power she had to draw her thoughts away from Evan…

Evan found himself at an unfamiliar street. He didn’t care, not now. He saw down on the curb and buried his face in his hands. Evan had never fought, not once, and he had never intended to either. Evan suddenly took his wallet out of his pocket and pulled something out. A picture of Avril. She had been posing and was blowing a kiss to the camera with a smile on her face. Evan surprisingly realized he was smiling as well. He slowly turned the picture to the back and read what Avril had once written.

'Dear Evan, hope you like the picture. I posed just for you. Well I just wanted to say that I’m happy we met and that you’re my best friend in the whole world. Hugs and lotsa kisses heehee, Avril'...

Evan wondered if what she had written still stood true. He looked at the picture once again, and then looked at the stars up in the dark sky. At that minute he couldn't stop thinking of how much all those stars reminded him of Avril….

lol but I resent that part ^ I live in Toronto and it's only cold in the winter. In the summer, it gets really, really hot. And Canada's not always cold, like everything thinks.

hehe thanks for reading it everyone. i'm glad you liked it. crystal and gone country, i'm sorry if you got offended with what I wrote about Canada, but during the summer when I went to Canada it was pretty cool and at night it was really chilly, so I based that line on my experience up there last summer. And I don't know.. maybe you associate temperatures differently than i do but i wrote it because i wanted to write it that way. doesn't mean i'm right but whatever...

okay here you are! i posted it one day before i said i was!


Avril flipped the channels but nothing good was on, or maybe perhaps that was because she wasn’t thinking about the television or what was on. She was too worried about Evan. She had heard him leave when he slammed the hotel's door but she hadn’t heard him come back. Avril was worried that something had happened to him. If he had gotten hurt or even if he was considering coming back. She started to think of all the horrible things that could’ve happened to him and she felt like crying. Avril just wanted him to come back. She didn’t care that she was mad at him, she just wanted to hold him in her arms... She held her pillow and closed her eyes tightly, trying to cast out all the bad thoughts coming to her head…

Evan slowly trudged up the stairs, it was late and he was getting a bit tired. He went to his room and stood in front of the hotel door, just staring at it. He inhaled, then slowly opened it…

Aril bolted up; she had just heard the hotel door open. She got out of her room and ran to the hotel door.

Evan quietly closed the door and tried walking to his room without making a sound. But something in his mind told him to look up and when he did he saw Avril. Avril ran to him and held him tightly against her. “Evan I was really scared that something had happened to you. I’m sorry for getting mad. Ev…” She looked at him and waited for him to say something because nothing was coming out of her mouth anymore.

“No Av, I’m sorry. I shouldn't have kept the secret away from you. And I shouldn’t have just left without telling you. Forgive me?” He said looking at her with his hands on her waist.

“Yes. But... Will you forgive me for overreacting?” She asked sweetly, her arms still wrapped around his neck.

“You didn’t overreact. But yes, I forgive you even though it was all my fault.” He said to her smiling. She smiled back at him and soon they realized how close their bodies were. Avril quickly unwrapped her arms from his neck and Evan took his hands off her waist. They both nervously laughed and nobody spoke a word after that.

Finally Avril broke the silence and said... “Well it’s late so goodnight…” She said, heading over to her room. Evan was about to say goodnight to her too but suddenly something else came to mind.

“Wait Av, before you o to sleep I wanna tell you what I didn’t tell you earlier.”

Avril turned back to look at him and replied. “It’s okay Ev. You don’t need to tell me anything. It’s your business, not mine.” Avril started to try to head back to her room but Evan grabbed her arm.

“Avril, I think you should know. You were gonna find out eventually.”

“No Ev, its okay rea...” She tried saying before Evan pressed his finger ontop of her lips.

“I’m gonna tell you, anyway. Okay, I mentioned to you about Matt and I forming a band with Mike right?” Avril nodded, uncertain of where that was going. “Well when I went to Baltimore we just hung around and jammed together. Then we got a bit more organized and eventually we’ve landed a gig at this club called Fletchers over in Baltimore.” He said grabbing hold of her hand. Avril felt a bit confused. Why didn’t he tell her that earlier? Did he think she would get mad? Or... Avril grabbed hold of his other hand and squeezed it tightly.

“Congratulations, Evan! I know you’ll rock. But why were you afraid to tell me?” She had to ask him.

Evan looked at her and gulped. “I thought you would be mad at me... I don’t know…”

Avril looked at him sympathetically but then something dawned on her mind. “Evan… are you going to leave my band? “Of course not Av. I would never leave you.” He assured her.

“No that’s not what I meant. Are you leaving my band?” She repeated. Evan realized she had twisted his words and had taken it the wrong way.

“Av…” His voice failed him and he felt like he couldn’t continue. Avril’s face dropped and she let go of his hands. She was taken a bit by surprise. She got control of herself and sat on the couch in front of them. Evan quickly sat next to her and tried to stroke her cheek but she pushed his hand away.

“Avril, I’m not leaving your band-“ He started and Avril looked at him expectantly. “But if one day I do, I want you to remember that we’re best friends and we always will be.”

“You can’t leave me.” Avril whispered bleakly. Evan tried putting his arms around her but she shoved him off. “You can’t…” That was all she got out.

Evan knelt in front of her and said. “Av, always remember what I just told you…” Then something else popped into his mind. “Wait a minute, Mark left and you weren’t so… so... emotional… Not that I’m leaving you... I mean, your band...”

“Mark isn’t you.” She said above a whisper. Avril fell back onto the couch and looked up at the ceiling. Evan went to go make an attempt to try to hug her again but once again she shoved him off.

“Av?” He asked exasperatedly.

“I need to get used to not having you there to hold me.” She said, standing up.

Evan quickly stood up and quizzed “What?”

“You know when you'll leave? I have to get rid of how good it feels to have your arms around me. And I have to do it while you're still here.” She said, turning her back towards him. Evan quickly ran after her and grabbed hold of her right arm, spinning her around so she was facing him again. He placed his other hand on her arm and firmly said.

“I am not leaving you Av.” Avril looked at him straight in the eye and tears started to sting her blue eyes. They fell down her cheeks and she couldn’t stop them. She broke down right there and felt like crumbling to the floor. Evan had seen the change in her face go to anger to pain and he did not know what to do about it. He pulled her close to him and held her. This time Avril didn’t put up a fight; she let her guard down and allowed Evan to envelope her in his arms.

Avril felt helpless; to her it was a lose-lose situation. She knew that Evan was going to leave her one day. Everybody had told her not to get too attached to anybody. And Avril had promised herself that she would do such a thing… But it was too late. She needed Evan like she needed the air or water and she couldn’t live without him. Avril felt scared because she had never felt like she needed someone constantly with her, it was strange and odd to her to depend on someone that much. They were best friends, but to Avril, Evan was so much more than that. She just didn't know what this much meant exactly. Feeling the warmth of his body surrounding her core, Avril wondered if it was time to find out of what that much actually meant...

Omg! That chapter seriously rocked. It was so good. You just had to leave us on a cliff hanger!!! Awww I can't wait for the next chapter. This is a really great fanfic.

okay here's chapter four.. i probably wont post tomorrow because i'll be busy..... and yeah.. so well.. i hope you enjoy it.
Chapter Four

Minutes passed and ticked by slowly as Avril and Evan stood there with their arms around each other, and their eyes closed. Neither of them said anything and that was perfectly fine because they needed time to just hold each other and not do anything else. Evan slowly opened his eyes and kissed the top of Avril’s head. Avril, who had her face buried in his chest, looked up at him and tightened her grasp on him. She tried opening her mouth but nothing came out so she decided not to say anything at all. Evan understood at what she was getting at and softly smiled at her, to try to make her feel at least a bit better.

A smile from Evan was all Avril needed to clear her mind of all the negative things that were haunting her. It made Avril’s heart start to race a little and she suddenly felt weak. Her body started to tingle with the feel of Evan’s hands on her waist and she felt a bit lightheaded. All of that was new territory to her and she was astonished at how quickly she was feeling all of this. Avril regained her senses and tried to smile back at him but her body wasn’t functioning right with her mind. She felt stupid for not being able to talk or say anything. She awkwardly gawked at him and finally just looked down.

Evan noticed Avril couldn’t say anything and could tell that she was feeling a bit uncomfortable. He slowly took his hands off her hips and led her to her room. Evan waited for Avril to come in and then he closed the door behind him. Avril just stood there looking at him expectantly and waited for him to come to her. Evan noticed that and led her to her bed, taking the covers off and getting her in there. He tucked her in and kissed her forehead and cheeks softly before whispering. “Goodnight Avril.” Avril got the courage to smile at him and whisper it back. Evan looked at her once again and slowly left the room. Avril closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep, but a thought nagging in the back of her mind prevented her from doing so.

Evan pulled his hoody off and threw it hastily off to the side of the room. He took his pants and shorts off, leaving only his shirt and boxers. Evan thought of what had happened earlier that day and sighed. The friendship between he and Avril had almost gone down the drain but thankfully it hadn’t. Evan thought about how pained Avril had looked when he started telling her about Ditch Ruxton. He never wanted to cause her pain, he cared about her too much to ever do that. Evan was scared of losing her too; she was too precious in his mind and heart to replace. He drifted off to sleep thinking about her and how great she was…

Avril had been tossing and turning and couldn’t go to sleep. She irritated got up and got out of her bed. She clumsily walked over to her door and walked out, going to Evan’s room. She gently knocked at his door but she got no response. Avril slowly and quietly turned the doorknob and opened the door. There lay Evan on his bed, sweetly curled up in his blankets. Avril’s heart melted, he was absolutely adorable. She felt a grin appear on her face as she stared at Evan sleeping there so innocently and peacefully. Avril didn’t feel like going back to her room, she was tempted to go in his bed and stay there with him for the night. Temptation soon gave in and Avril found herself getting into his bed and scooting herself next to him. Avril stared at him one more time and then her eyes closed, still tainted with the image of Evan in her head…


The next morning Evan tiredly opened his eyes and looked around his room, trying to get everything in focus. Once that was done, he looked at the clock on the bedside table. It was 9:45; too early for Evan. As he tried to go back to sleep, he felt arms tighten around his waist. He confusedly looked down and saw Avril there with him, their legs entwined together. Evan’s mind tried rewinding back to last night, but he couldn’t come up as to why or how Avril had gotten in his bed. Not that he minded anyways….

Avril pried her eyes open and was greeted by a nice scent of someone. She realized that she was pressed up against Evan’s body. She quickly unwrapped her arms from around him and stared up at his face to see if he was awake. He was. “Oh, uh hey, Evan.” She muttered sitting up on his bed.

“Good morning, Avril. I was a bit surprised this morning when I woke up to see you here.”

“Oh… I… I’m sorry about that. Last night I couldn’t go to sleep and I was tossing and turning so I decided to come and see you. But you were sleeping and you looked absolutely adorable and I just… was tempted to come sleep over and I did, so yeah…” Avril rambled.

Evan thought she looked cute there rambling and moving her hands wildly all over the place. He stroked her check and said. “You’re welcome here anytime.” He assured her warmly. She blushed and replied with thanks. Evan sat up next to her at the head of the bed and said. “Well are you ready to go write more songs today? We only have a week left her so we better crack down and work.”

Avril looked at him thoughtfully and agreed with him. "Yeah, we gotta get our asses to work. Let’s start at noon, so we have time to shower and go out for breakfast.” She proposed to him.

"I’m up for it if you are.” He told her.

“Okay then! Breakfast than work.” She said, getting out of his bed.

“Okay then…”


Twenty minutes later Avril found herself on the living room couch, waiting for Evan to get out of his room so they could go out for breakfast. She cast her gaze at the clock up against the wall, 10:30. Avril got herself up and went to go knock on Evan’s door. As she lifted her hand up to knock, Evan had opened the door. They laughed and she asked. “Ready?”

“Yup, I’m ready to go.” Evan told her as they walked towards the door in search of a good coffeehouse…


A couple hours later, they were back in the room, sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing. “Damn I’m so full.” Avril groaned, holding her stomach.

“Yeah same here.” Evan replied. They sprawled out on the couch together, not wanting to do anything. Avril started playing with his golden locks and twisting them in her fingers while Evan closed his eyes.

“Av…” Evan murmured.

“Hmm?” She mumbled back, too lazy to do anything.

“We better get to work.” He said, slowly getting up.

“But I can’t, I have writers block.” She said, sticking her bottom lip out.

“Av, we’ve procrastinated way too much.” He tried to say firmly but Avril’s face prevented him from doing so.

“Well can we start in ten minutes?” She asked, her eyes innocently pleading with him. Evan couldn’t say no to her… So he got back on the couch and wrapped his arms around her as she cuddled closer to him…


A bit later… “Av…”

“What?” She asked.

“Half an hour has passed. It’s time to work now. And no pouting.” He warned her, knowing she would try that technique.

Avril moaned. “Fine! Whatever...” She huffed and puffed. Evan took his arms off of her and she grudgingly got up. Avril went up to grab her guitar and Evan went to grab his. They met each other in her room and she sulkily looked at her guitar. “Ready?” She asked. /

“Yup.” Then they sat, trying to come up with ideas for a new song…

“Let’s do something else now.” Avril said, putting her guitar away and grabbing Evan’s, putting it alongside hers.

“What do you want to do?” He said, leaning back in her chair. Avril wondered what they should do.

“Well how about we… I don’t know. Let’s watch a movie. You still owe me from yesterday.” She said.

“Fine.” He replied to her, wishing to do anything she pleased. Avril turned her television on and went to her bed to lie down…

After awhile, Avril turned her gaze from the television to Evan. She could see him fidgeting in the chair. “Evan, come over here.” She said, inviting him over to her bed.

“I’m okay.” He said quickly, not wanting to bother her.

“Don’t be silly.” She got up from her bed and went to where he was sitting. “Come on.” She grabbed hold of his hands and started slowly walking backwards to her bed. Evan let her control him and just let himself be led to her bed…
Suddenly Avril fell back on her bed taking Evan with her. She had fallen on her bed, because she had forgotten her skateboard was near the foot of the bed... Avril and Evan started laughing and she managed to say. “Sorry about that.”

Evan just looked at her and said. “It’s okay.” Their chests were pushed against each other and they were both breathing hard. Avril slithered towards the head of the bed and Evan did the same. Then like a routine, Avril laid her head ontop of his chest while he had his arms around her shoulders and waist…

Avril felt right at home in Evan’s arms. She felt safe, she felt comforted, she felt complete. She could be like that forever and she wouldn’t mind. The feel of Evan on her was starting to make Avril forget about everything. She knew that Evan would always be there, with a shoulder for her to cry on. She knew Evan would always be there with his arms wide openec. Then one thing she feared in life was losing him, but she was not going to let him go…

Evan looked down at Avril who had slowly fallen asleep. He softly smiled and grabbed the blankets, pulling them over Avril and him. He kissed her goodnight and tightened his grasp on her. To him she was an angel sent from above, she was a miracle to him, and she was his everything. Evan thought about how his life was turning out, how great it was, all because of Avril. Evan stared at her one more time and then he slowly fell asleep with a smile on his face…

here is chapter five... this chapter took a bit longer to write... thanks alot to willmara for helping me with a couple scenes for this chapter.. its pretty long so yeah lol... um i don't know when the next chapter will be up because I just started writing it so yeah.. well thanks again to willmara and i hope you like it!


Chapter Five
Avril yawned and slowly stretched; the morning light caused her to wake up. She looked up and looked at Evan who was still sleeping tenderly and peacefully. She got this dreamy look in her eyes and she fell into a daze… Soon Avril snapped into reality, she had the perfect idea for a song. She got out of her bed and grabbed a pad of paper and she started writing furiously; she didn’t want this idea to slip out of her mind. Avril went to the living room and grabbed her guitar, bringing it back with her to her room. She got a guitar pick off of her table and then the music just came to her…

Evan rubbed his eyes and looked around, trying to find out where the music he heard was coming from. He saw Avril sitting in her chair, playing her guitar and singing lyrics he had never heard before. He didn’t want to interrupt her, so he just listened to her…

La la la la
Yeah
La la la la
Yeah...

Avril started to sing her lyrics again but she stopped because she felt someone staring at her, Evan. She heard him start clapping and she blushed. "How long have you been up?" She asked him curiously.

"Long enough." He replied curtly before getting out of the bed to grab his guitar out of the living room. When he came back, he said. "I have a melody that would go perfect with your lyrics."

An hour later, Avril and Evan had pieced together the perfect song, at least it was how Avril called it. "Let’s play it one more time." She said. Evan nodded his head and looked down, starting to play the guitar again…

Avril looked at Evan and a surge of new energy came into her body, making her sing the lyrics with so much emotion…

Avril couldn’t take her eyes off of Evan, this song was so true to her and what Evan meant to her. Evan quickly looked up at her smiling because her voice sounded so angelic, delicate but strong, absolutely beautiful… Evan winked at her and Avril’s cheeks turned slightly pink…

Avril stared into Evan’s beautiful eyes, the ones that were boring into her soul and she couldn’t seem to tear her eyes away from his, nor did she want to. The next part of the song was especially for him…

Evan thought she was dazzling there, singing her heart out like that. Evan had always admired Avril for her musical ability but his admiration stretched far beyond that. And at that moment, this feeling inside him was urging him to just reach over and hold her body close to his. He wanted to caress her face and kiss her and place his lips all over her body… but he wasn’t going to do that. That feeling came out of nowhere and it could sabotage his whole relationship with her. Right now he was just going to worry on perfecting the song…

Avril saw this odd expression on his face and wondered what he was thinking. She closed her eyes and belted out the last few parts…




Avril finished the song and when she did, Evan quickly set aside his guitar and pulled Avril close to him, hugging her. "Avril that’s awesome!! I love it!! You did a great job!!" He gushed at her.

"You think so?" She said, placing her hands on his nice strong arms that her were so gently yet firmly.

"I know so." He replied, kissing her nose and holding the back of her head to his chest. Avril smiled; it was nice to be complimented, but it was even nicer to be complimented by the one person in the world who she cared about the most…

The last week they were together in the hotel room, they worked really hard and got so many songs done. It was so sad to both of them when they left, he had to go to Baltimore and she had to go to L.A. Avril actually cried when they went on separate ways and all Evan could do was hold her tight and kiss her softly…


"Mrs. Taubenfeld?" Avril asked. She had called Evan’s house but not in hopes in talking to Evan, but to his mother.

"Avril? Hello!" How are you?!?" Mrs. Taubenfeld greeted her warmly.

"Can I ask for a favor?" Avril said.

"Sure honey! What do you want?"…


June 26, 2003

Avril waited by her terminal impatiently. Her flight would be leaving in about an hour but Avril wished they could leave as soon as possible. Avril walked around, reading magazines and listening to music. Finally after what had seemed like forever, she heard the lady at the counter announce, "Flight 627 is now boarding. Los Angeles to Baltimore one way, Flight 627 is now boarding." Avril jumped out of her seat, grabbing her stuff and bolted towards the plane’s entrance…


"Evan, slow your eating down! You’ll choke to death if you don’t!" Evan’s mother exclaimed.

"I can’t ma. I gotta meet up with Matt and Mike in half an hour." He said, rushing to get his plate empty.

"Well you won’t be able to because you’ll be dead if you don’t slow down." She warned him.

Evan got up and went to go put his dish in the kitchen. "Okay mom. Goodbye."

Mrs. Taubenfeld hugged her son and asked. "What time will you be back?"

"I won’t be home until late mom." Evan’s mother tried to hide a smile and simply replied.

"Okay son. Take your time and have fun!" And with that Evan left…


6:00. Avril’s plane landed in Baltimore, Maryland. "Finally." Avril muttered. She got up from her chair and grabbed her bag from the compartment over her head. Avril walked to the exit of the plane and briskly walked to the meeting area. She was to meet Mrs. Taubenfeld there so she could get to Evan’s house as a surprise for his birthday. Avril looked around to see a recognizable face in the crowd and she then spotted her.

"Avril!" Mrs. Taubenfeld called out. Avril quickly ran to her and Mrs. Taubenfeld embraced her. They chatted for a bit, then after that, they went to go pick up Avril’s luggage. When that was done, they piled into Mrs. Taubenfeld’s van and drove off…


"Okay guys. Let’s practice this song one more time!" Evan called out.

"Come on man. We’ve rehearsed this song a million times already. It can’t get any better!" Mike exclaimed, collapsing into a chair.

"Yes it can! Yes, it can! Yes, it can! One more time now!" Evan called out. Grumbling, Mike picked up his guitar and they started again….


"So Evan has no idea I’m coming, right?" Avril questioned Mrs. Taubenfedl as they drove over to Evan’s house.

"No, he doesn’t know a thing." Evan’s mother assured her with a grin. "Boy is he in for a great surprise…"

"Okay guys, let’s wrap it up now." Evan told his friends.

"Finally!!" Mike exclaimed, jumping out of his seat.

"You up for dinner?" Matt asked Mike and Evan, heading over to where they were.

"Nah man, I think I’ll skip." Evan said, putting his guitar down and packing it in his case.

"Aw, come on man! It’ll be fun!" Matt tried persuading him. Evan looked from Matt to Mike, then Mike to Matt.

"Fine, fine!" Whatever." Evan finally gave in.

"Yeah!!" Mike exclaimed, and then they walked out…


"Avril make yourself at home." Mrs. Taubenfeld told her as she unlocked the front door letting
Avril and herself in.

"Thank you so much, Mrs. Taubenfeld. I really appreciate you letting me stay here and helping me with the surprise." Avril said, putting her suitcase down.

"Oh no problem! I know how much Evan cares about you and you would be the only person who would brighten his day on his birthday. Oh and by the way, call me Ami." Mrs. Taubenfeld lightly hugged her and then said. "You must be tired. How about we set your things down in Evan’s room and you can use his bathroom to shower?" Mrs. Taubenfeld suggested. Avril smiled, Evan’s mother was so nice.

"Thanks, I would really like that." Evan’s mother led her to Evan’s basement room and left Avril there. Then she left to go make a couple phone calls. Avril looked around the room and fell in love with it, it was so Evan. She smiled when she saw the wall lined up with hair products; this definitely was Evan’s room. Avril sorted through her things and headed towards Evan’s bathroom to shower…

"Hey Drew, hey Annie." Evan greeted his younger brother and sister as he walked into his house.

"Hey." They greeted him back warmly.

"Where have you been?" Drew asked his brother.

"I went out to dinner with Mike and Matt after practice." Evan informed them. Then Mrs. Taubenfeld walked into the room.

"Hello Evan. Are you hungry?" She asked her son.

"No, I just had dinner." He said.

"Oh okay son… How about... we watch a movie?" She asked her kids.

"Yeah!" Annie and Drew agreed, but Evan shook his head.

"Nah, I’m really stink and I need to take a shower... now." Mrs. Taubenfeld’s face dropped.

"Aw, come on Evan. It’ll be fun!" Annie persisted. Evan once again shook his head. Nothing could change his mind.
"I’m gonna shower. I might be back up in a bit." Then he went down to his room… Mrs. Taubenfeld, Drew and Annie all exchanged glances and nobody said anything…

Avril hummed to herself as she wrapped a towel around her body, stepping out of Evan’s bathroom. She swiftly headed over to Evan’s bed where she found her clothes. She ran her fingers through her wet hair and looked for her bra and panties…

Evan slowly went down the stairs leading to his room and when he got to his bedroom door, he slowly turned the doorknob and walked in…

Evan’s mouth gaped at the picture he saw going on in his room. In front of him there was Avril and she almost naked. She only had her panties on and her back was turned to him, preventing him from seeing anything else. She was bent over his bed, trying to reach for a shirt and Evan couldn’t peel his eyes away from her, she was… he never knew… he had never seen her so… exposed. Evan swallowed dryly as he still stared at her. He knew he should turn around but he couldn’t… and wouldn’t…

Avril felt eyes on her so she slowly turned around and saw Evan standing there. Her eyes grew wide and she quickly dropped the shirt and bra that was in her hand. After doing that, she realized her chest was bare. She quickly brought her hands up to her chest, covering her breasts, then turned her back towards him.

Evan’s mouth had been slightly open, astonished at the vision in front of him. He now realized she must be really uncomfortable so he quickly turned his back at her and with a stutter he mouthed. "Sorry about that." Then he clumsily walked out of his own room...

Avril’s face was red with embarrassment. Evan had seen her pretty much naked. She put on her clothes as fast as she could and then she sighed. Now everything between her and Evan would be awkward…

Evan sat on his last step leading to the basement. The image he had just seen wasn’t getting out of his head. He shook his head but it still wouldn’t come out. He felt really bad for Avril, he knew she must be feeling really awkward. He slowly got up and knocked on his door….

"Come in." Avril managed to say when she heard the knock on the door. Evan slowly walked in and placed his hands in his pockets.

"Sorry about that." He told her looking at the floor. Avril was looking all over his room, everywhere but him.

"Oh.. um.. I should’ve been more careful… And besides, you had no idea I’d be here." She stuttered.

Evan tried to lighten up the mood a bit. "No... I didn’t expect to see you here!" He added with a embarrassed smile.

"Oh! See, I was going to surprise you… Your mom really helped me out… Since it’s your birthday tomorrow I thought I would come over and… celebrate your birthday with you." She told him.

"Well you sure surprised me after all… I mean… Well, I’m happy you’re here. I don’t know what I would do if my best friend wasn’t there for my birthday." He went over to her and awkwardly hugged her. Avril didn’t know what else to do but embrace him back. They quickly got out of it and just stood there, not knowing what to say next. "Well, I’m gonna shower because I really need to... So you can go upstairs and watch tv with my family or you can stay here and hang around in here..." Evan suggested to her.

"I guess I’ll hang around here... If you don’t mind." Avril said, not really wanting to leave the room because she felt at home in it.

"No, it’s okay... Really... I’ll see you in a couple minutes then." Evan grabbed his towel and headed towards the bathroom…

Soon after that incident, Avril and Evan went upstairs to hang around with his family for a bit. They had a great time talking to each other and Avril felt so comfortable being with his family. Later, Avril and Evan headed back to his room…

"So.. where do I sleep?" Avril inquired. Evan had an idea but wasn’t sure if she would like it exactly…

"You can sleep on my bed with me." He offered, kind of hoping she would say yes.
Avril still felt a bit shy around him after what had happened earlier. But she didn’t want to say no..

"Okay, sounds good to me." She said with a small smile. She got on the right side of the bed while Evan went over to the left side.
"Goodnight!" Evan said, turning the light off.

"Goodnight." She replied.

They just lay there, both very uncomfortable. Obviously it wasn’t the first time they slept together but to them that’s how it felt like. Usually they would wrap their arms around each other and cuddle closer, but tonight they were on either side of the bed, both afraid to even move. Somehow they both fell asleep, hoping that in their sleep, they wouldn’t do anything…


June 27, 2004

Avril looked over her shoulder as she brushed her teeth. Evan still wasn’t up. "Sleepyhead." She thought to herself about him as she spit and gargled. She wiped her mouth and decided to wait for him to wake up…

Evan didn’t want to wake up but his mind was telling him that something important and special was up. He searched his brain for an answer and then remembered that it was his birthday. He was twenty years old. The big 2-0. He opened his eyes and quickly sat up. Avril was already waiting for him. "Happy birthday!" Avril greeted him, pulling him close to her and giving him a big kiss on the check, the "event" from last night apparently forgotten.

"Thanks, Av." He said smiling as he placed his arm around her. "What time is it?" Evan asked.

"It’s 11:00, you woke up pretty late!" Avril told him.

"Wow it is late. Let’s go out for brunch, I’m hungry." Evan stated, starting to stand up. Avril smiled and they both got ready.

That day Evan’s family, Evan and Avril went out for brunch and took him to the Baltimore Aquarium, a tradition that they had. Avril and Evan had a blast together and were inseparable the whole day. Later that night, Mike, Matt, Evan and Avril were going to go to a club to party…

At the club, Mike and Matt went their way in search of ladies while Avril and Evan stuck together. They drunk a couple beers but decided not to get drunk. They danced together a lot and had a great time together doing so… Finally Avril asked Evan if she could leave. Evan wanted to go with her so they headed out towards his car…

"So how does it feel like to be twenty?" Avril asked Evan as they drove away.

"It feels the same, I just get treated special." Evan joked. Avril smiled and then she slowly put her hand on top of his that was on the control pad. As they were driving, Avril noticed a sign that said

"BEACH, TWO MILES."

"Evan let’s go to the beach!!" Avril said, excitedly.

"This late?" Evan asked her.

"Yeah! Please!" Avril begged.

"Fine, fine. Whatever you say, ma’am!" Evan gave in…

Evan parked his car and then he got out. Before Avril got out, she pulled something from the back seat of the car. "What is that?" Evan asked, waiting for her.

"You’ll see." Avril said mysteriously. They started walking in the sand, along the shore.

"Everything’s so dark… the waves look so big." Evan remarked as they kept on walking.

"Yeah they look scary yet… exciting at the same time." Avril said, stopping to look at them.
She took her sandals off and then sat down. "Evan, sit next to me." Avril said, grabbing his hand and pulling him down. He sat next to her and looked at the ocean.

After awhile of staring in to the dark ocean, Avril said, "Evan here’s your present from me."

Evan stared at her confused. "I thought you were my present."

Avril slightly smiled and then said. "Well here’s another one then." She handed him something that was wrapped up. Evan looked at her and then opened it. It was a photo frame with a picture of them, his arms around her, as they sat on a swing together. Along the border of the frame was written, "Best Friends Forever."

"Here Evan." Avril broke his train of thought and handed him a letter. Evan noticed Avril starting to blush and that made him more curious in reading the letter. He opened the letter and then read…

Dear Evan,
Happy birthday! I can’t believe you’re twenty already. Seems like just yesterday we met. It seems like we’ve just met yet I’ve known you since forever, and I’ve never felt that way before. I can honestly say that you’re the one person in this world who understands me completely.
Evan, you’re like the missing puzzle piece that completes me. I feel that you’re my soul mate and I’m kind of freaked out because I’m positive that you are. You are the most caring guy that I’ve ever met and the only one I’ll probably ever meet. You’re funny; you always know to make me laugh, even when I’m having a bad day. You’re sweet; you say kind things to me even when I’m acting like a total b*tch. You’re sensitive; you understand how I’m feeling and always try to help me when I’m feeling down.

Evan felt like he had tears in his eyes, what she had written was so beautiful. He never knew that he meant this much to her, he felt really flattered. That was the best present anybody had ever given him and he would never ever lose it…
Evan looked at Avril who was now standing up, still mesmerized by the waves of the ocean. She had her arms folded, she looked like she was cold and she probably was; she was only wearing a tight shirt and a short skirt. He stood up and stood in front of her, facing her. "Avril Lavigne, that was beautiful." He whispered, placing his hands on her arms. Avril looked at him and placed her hands on his shoulders.

"Happy birthday, Evan Taubenfeld!" With that, she brought his neck down and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. "Happy birthday, Evan Taubenfeld." She whispered one more time then they slowly walked back to his car, on words spoken, just taking in the last hours of his birthday…

this chapter was very hard to write because of a certain person's name.. it brought a sour taste to my mouth.. ugh... fheoiarheoiarh..ugh... well enjoy!

July passed by really quickly for Avril and Evan, and the next thing they knew it was August already. Avril stayed in Los Angeles while Evan stayed in Baltimore with Ditch Ruxton to prepare for their concert. Before Evan performed, Avril called him to wish him luck and to show that she really supported whatever he did. Evan was so touched by this; he was so happy that Avril was supporting him. August 7, 2003, Ditch Ruxton rocked a crowd of people from France, Texas, Canada, all over…

August 27, 2003 the day of the VMA’s. Evan still wouldn’t be back yet so Avril went with her sometimes friend Kelly Osbourne. Those two were pretty bad when they were together, and Evan was surprised at some of the things he heard, but he shrugged them all off. No matter what Avril did, she was till his best friend…

Early September Evan went to L.A. to start recording with Avril. Avril was ecstatic that Evan was there; she knew they would have so much fun together, like they did in Toronto. When they worked at the studio, it was work, work, work. But Avril managed to keep her head up, because Evan was there…

"I’m so tired." Avril moaned, leaning her head on Evan’s shoulder.

Evan took his headphones off and placed his arm around her shoulders. "Yeah me too. But we’re almost done for the day so we’ll leave soon." Evan reassured her. Avril didn’t say anything, she just closed her eyes…

A little while later they were allowed to go. "Come on Av." Evan said. He had to practically drag Avril out of there; she was acting like a zombie.

"Here you drive." Avril barely got out, throwing her keys at Evan and headed to the backseats. "Wake me up when we get there." Avril said, then she dozed off…

Evan put his seatbelt on and then drove off, every once in a while looking back at her to admire her while she slept. He drove on and on, and then finally he arrived at their hotel. "Avril come on and wake up." He gently told her, trying to wake her up. No luck. Avril was sound asleep. Evan didn’t want to wake her up so he got out of his seat and opened the back door. He undid Avril’s seatbelt and gently and carefully picked her out of the seat. Evan slowly carried her up to her room and opened the door. He laid her on her bed and took off her shoes and jacket. As Evan put the covers on top of her, Avril woke up.

"Thanks Evan… for taking me to my room." She whispered to him.

"No problem" Evan winked at her.

"It would only be fair if you stayed here with me." Avril started, trying to look as innocent as possible. Of course Evan didn’t want to refuse that face of hers, so he gave in. Avril bit her lip as he took his clothes off. "Come on sexy." She said biting her lip. Evan responded by climbing in the bed seductively. They laughed and then they dozed off…

Evan’s head was on Aril’s stomach when he woke up. He could feel Aril’s fingers running through his hair and he could hear the television in the background. He could hear a speaker talk about horse’s… horses? "Aril changes the channel." He grumbled groggily.

"Oh you’re awake." Aril said surprised.

"Change the channel." He repeated again.

"Geez Louise Evan. I love horsies." she whined. Evan buried his face into her stomach and said,

"Make the noise go away!" Evan demanded.

"Evan puh-leaze. You act like a four year old." Avril playfully scolded him.

"Fine I’ll leave." Evan said, getting up.

"No Evan. don’t go… I’ll turn it off." Avril said quickly. Evan got back into the bed, satisfied.

"Thought you’d see it my way."

Avril rolled her eyes at his comment. "You’re such a guy."

"Well naw Av, whudja think I am?" Evan dumbly said.

"You wouldn’t be happy with my answer." Avril teased. Evan got under the covers and a tickling war began…


Late September 26, 2003

"Avril be prepared to wake up early okay?" Evan told her.

"What are we going to do?" Aril wanted to know.

"It’s a surprise…" Evan said. Aril hated surprises; she was so impatient.

"Evan pleases!" She tried but no luck. Evan was like a stone and he wouldn’t break. Finally Aril gave up and changed the subject…

The next day would be Avril’s birthday and Evan had said he would be in charge of planning the day. Avril agreed and had been pestering him as to what they were going to do. Evan would only smile, he had worked pretty hard on her big day and wanted everything to be perfect…


September 27, 2003

BRINNNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!! Avril’s alarm clock sounded loudly. Avril instantly got up and got out of her bed. It was her birthday and she was dying to know what Evan was up to. She looked at her bedside table and found a note.

Happy birthday!!! You won’t see me when I wake up but I want you to go to this address at exactly ten o’clock. Also wear something comfy

Avril read the address on the note and it wasn’t making sense. What was he going to do? She shrugged and headed towards the bathroom to shower and change…

Avril threw a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt on and hurriedly grabbed her car keys. She then left the room, in search of Evan…

Evan checked his watch. It was 9:00. Everything was going fine and Avril should be there soon. "Sir, which horses would you like to ride for the day?" A man asked coming up behind Evan.

Evan looked at the horses in their stalls and then made up his mind. "I want those two." He said, pointing to two beautiful white horses.

"Well then, those they are sir…"

Avril pulled up to the address that Evan had given her. She looked at the sign in front of her and then looked back down again at the address, frowning. Was that the right address? She shrugged an d got out of her car, walking until she saw someone in sight…

Evan and the owner rode the horses up to the front of the place and as soon as they did, he caught a glimpse of Avril. A smile broke across his face as she quickly approached them. "Happy birtday Avril." Evan greeted her, getting off his horse.

Avril walked to him and gave him a big hug. "Evan how did you know I love horses?" she asked him with a huge smile on her face.

"I listen when you talk." He lightly joked. Avril looked at him with a gleam in her eyes and said,

"Evan, you’re the greatest guy ever. This… is so sweet of you. I love thise." She finished, hugging him tightly.

Evan then led her to the horses and then pointed to one. "There’s your horse." He got on his horse and then a man handed Avril the reins.

But Avril gave it back to him. "I want to ride with him." Avril said, referring to Evan. She walked over to his horse and Evan gave her a hand. When she got on, she wrapped her arms around his waist and Evan, Avril, and the horse took off.

A while later Evan stopped. They were now in a beautiful forest, which was unusual in L.A, and they could see a small river dashing along. They got off the horse and as soon as they did, Avril kissed Evan. "Evan this is one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me. Thank you Evan for being such a great friend." She said.

Evan caressed her cheek and said, "Av, I just want the best for you. I wanted to make your birthday special, so I thought that this would be a good idea and that you would like it." "Like it?"

"I love it!!" Avril squealed.

Avril went to pet the horse and Evan went behind her, placing his hands gently on her waist. She smiled and entwined her fingers with his. She then softly leaned the back of her head on his chest and they turned so they could look at the small river in front of them.

Evan then remembered he had to give Avril something. He took one of his hands off of her waist and reached into the pocket of his jean jacket. "Av, I wanna give you something." Avril turned around slowly and looked at his face. He handed a small gold box to her. "You can open it anytime you want." He assured her. Avril bit her lip and looked at the box. She slowly opened it anad found a locket. A heart shaped locket. That’s all it took to get Avril to start sobbing.

Evan looked at Avril, worried. "Av, are you allright?"

Avril nodded her head. "Evan you are truly the most amazing guy I’ve ever met. You mean so much to me…" then she broke down again and Evan quickly hugged her. "Thank you so much Evan." She said.

Evan smiled and responded, "You’re welcome." They embraced for awhile and then Avirl said,

"Evan can you do me a favor?"

"Sure anything." Evan said.

"Can you place this locket on me?" she asked sweetly.

"Sure." Evan grinned.

Avril turned her back towards Evan and lifted her hair up. Evan grabbed the locket and started to place the locket around her neck. "Oh Avril, I almost forgot to show you something." He turned Avril around so she was facing him and held her locket. He opened it and showed her what was inside of it. A picture of them two. The same one that she had given him in the photo frame for his birthday. Avril saw it and by then, se was speechless.

"Evan…." She tried but filed. Evan just pressed his finger to her lips, and when he did, Avril softly kissed it…

Evan and Avril got on the beautiful horse and slowly trotted the horse back. Avril leaned against Evan’s strong back while Evan steered the horse.

When they had gotten back it was 12:00 P. M. "Avril, are you hungry?" Evan asked as they walked towards her car.

"Kinda." Avril said, hten realizing she was actually hungry.

"Well let’s go eat!" Evan said. They got in the car and then drove off…

"I’ll be back with your food soon." A waitress said, taking their menus away from them. Avril and Evan were now at a restaurant that they had stopped at. "Thanks." They both replied to her. She walked away leaving only Avril and Evan.

Avril and Evan slid to the seat next to Evan’s chair. She slid her hand in his and leaned her head on his shoulder. Evan then placed his arm around her and they sighed happily. "Evan, I’m so glad I met you or else I wouldn’t be this happy." She told him.

"I’m glad we met too." He replied kissing the top of her head.

Later they were driving back to the hotel. "Evan, do we HAVE to go back??!? It’s still early!" she whined.

"Yes Avril, because I have a surprise for you." Evan informed her. Avril sat back in her seat. Boy was Evan full of surprises.

"Happy birthday!!" Avril’s family greeted her as she and Evan walked into her hotel room.

"Oh my gosh!!" I didn’t know ou were coming!!!" Avril said shocked that they were there.

"It was Evan’s idea. He called us and told us it would be a good idea so here we are!!" Avril’s mother said, hugging Avril. The rest of Avril’s family hugged her and as they did Avril saw Evan standing by the door and caught his eye. They exchanged a glance and Evan winked at her…


Avril’s birthday passed by quickly and she had a great time. Evan and her family cut a cake for her and they joked and talked a lot. Avril had Evan to thank for that…


The next couple of days, Avril and Evan were inseperable. They were always fawning over each other, leaving people wondering what the real deal was between them. All was going well then one day they both got an unexpected visitor…


"Jesse?" Evan said in disbelief when he opened Avril’s hotel door.

"Hey hey." Jesse said, walking into the room. "This is Avril’s room right?" he continued.

"Yeah…" Evan said a slight anger growing inside of him.

"Evan! The show’s starting! Come on!!!" they both heard Avril call from her bedroom.

Jesse looked at Evan and asked, "What’s going on between you two?"

"We’re just friends." Evan said tiredly, "Why are you here?" he asked Jesse anxiously.

"Just thought I would drop by and hang out with you guys for a couple days." He responded. Evan wasn’t believing this, Jesse wouldn’t come just to "hang out" as he put it. Evan opened his mouth again to speak but was interrupted by Avril’s voice.

"Evan?" Evan looked at Jesse again and called out,

"Yeah??"

"Is everything alright?" Evan didn’t say anything.

"Ev??"…

Avril came out of her bedroom and was startled to see Jesse standing there with Evan. "What the hell are you doing here?" she asked Jesse curiously.

"I thought it’d be fun to hang around with you guys for a few days. Is that okay?" he asked.

Avril was still a bit confused but didn’t want to seem like a bad person. "Uh… yeah! Great…" she said flatly. Avril looked at Evan who didn’t look very happy.

"Well its getting late so I better head to my hotel. I’ll see you guys later." Avril and Evan walked him out to the door and Avril said,

"Bye!" Evan quickly shut the door and leaned against it.

"Well that was… weird." Avril said.

"A little too weird." Evan stated. Avril new Evan wasn’t particularly fond of Jesse so she didn’t want to dwell on the subject.

"Let’s go watch the rest of the show. It’s getting really good." She said, wrapping her arm around his waist. Evan finally smiled and they headed towards the room…

"Avril do you want anything else?" Evan said as he started to leave the room.

"Nope I’m fine."

"Well then I’ll be back soon. Bye." Avril gave him a quick hug and peck on the cheek.

"Bye." Then Evan left to go to the grocery store. Avril sighed and headed towards the bathroom, smelling her armpits along the way…

As Avril stepped out of her bathroom drying her hair, she heard the door being knocked on. She knew Evan had a key because she had given him one so she wondered who it could be. She slowly walked to the dooor and opened it. There stood Jesse. Avril wrinkled her nose. "Hi Jesse." She said.

"Av, get ready. Let’s go have some fun." He said. Avril wondered what he was thinking but then protested,

"But Evan’s not here."

"What are you guys, married?" Jesse smirked. Avril grew defensive.

"No, but he is my best friend." She said, hotly.

"Av, come on." He pleaded. Avril looked at him disgusted.

"Fine." She gave in. "Lemme change." As Avril went to change Jesse sat on the couch. He then noticed a picture of Avril and Evan on the coffee table. He quickly put the picture face down and smiled…

"Ready?" she said as she walked out.

"Yeah!" he said, quickly standing up. They walked out and Avirl started feeling a little suspicious of what Jesse was up to…


"Avril, I’m back!" Evan yelled as he walked into the hotel room. He heard nothing. "Av?" he called out again. Worried, he put the grocery bag down and went to her room. Then something caught his eye…

Evan, Jesse came around here and wanted to hang out so I guess we should be back soon… Love ya, Av.

Evan crumbled the sheet of paper in his hands and angrily threw it in the wastebasket. He figured what Jesse was up to. He had done while they had been on tour, always trying to take time with Avril away from him. Evan and Jesse had never been buddy-buddy and now Evan hated his guts…

"Av, let’s go to the beach." Jesse said as they left the coffeeshop.

"Isn’t it a bit too cold for that?" Avril said.

"Nah, come on!" Jesse persuaded.

"Fine, fine." Avril said. They got into her car and drove off…

"Thanks Avril." Jesse said as they stepped out of the car.

"For what?"

"For being a great friend." He replied.

"Aww…" Avril said. She gave him a hug and they walked to the beach…

"Avril sit down." Jesse said as he sat on the sand. Avri sat down but Jesse pushed, "Come sit next to me." Avri didn’t want him to feel embarrassed if she declined, so she did. Then Jesse started to wrap his arms around her. She started feeling uncomfortable but looked at the waves…

Suddenly she was thinking of the day of Evan’s birthday. She remembered they had been on the beach and how that all seemed right. When Evan placed his arms around her Avril had felt warm and tingly inside. When she had gently kissed him, she knew she had liked it…

Avril’s mind came back to reality. She realized that everythihng felt right when she was with Evan. She realized that sometimes when she was feeling lonely in her bed, that her heart only pined for one guy, Evan. She realized when she hugged or kissed Evan, that it felt right to her. As Jesse started talking she realized she wanted to be with Evan. Avril thought about Evan’s face and then her heart fluttered…

"Av, that’s what I’ve been wanting to say for a long time." Jesse finished.

She snapped back to life. "Sorry what?" she said absentmindedly.

"Nothing." Jesse mumbled.

"What did you say?" she asked again. He didn’t respond. She turned around and tilted his chin so they were seeing eye to eye. "Jesse what?" she asked.

"I like you." He said shortly.

Avril quickly looked down. "I…I… I’m uh… sorry. Jesse. I only think of you as a friend." She said guiltily. There was a bit of silence and when he didn’t say anything she quietly said, "I better drop you off at your hotel now." They got up and slowly walked back to her car…

Evan heard the door open and he hurriedly walked to the door. He saw Avril slowly closing the door, fortunately without Evan. "Hey." He said. Avril walked to him and hugged him tightly. "You okay? What’s wrong? What happened?" Evan asked, stroking her hair.

"Guess what I found out." Avril finally said.

"What?" Evan asked.

"Jesse likes me." She said lowly.

Evan’s heart sank. "He sank? What did you say? Do you like him?" Evan said weakly.

"I told him I only thought of him as a friend, that I don’t like him." Evan then pressed her head to his chest and smiled.

"Are you okay?" he asked…

Avril felt like crying. She wanted to cry because now that she knew that she really liked Evan, she didn’t know what to do. She buried her face into his chest and wanted to stay like that forever, just breathing his scent in. She didn’t want to move, all she wanted was to be with him…

She finally looked up at his face. She broke into a small smile. Evan noticed that and kissed her nose. "Let’s go." He said holding her hand as they walked to her room. In there, she went to her room and sat there with her arms up in the air. Evan, smiling, walked over to her and took the sweatshirt she had on, off her. She commanded Evan to turn around, and as he did, she took his jeans off and crawled under the covers. She called for Evan to come over and when he did, he gave her a nice strong hug.

"What was that for?" she asked.

"For being you." He simply said. With that, they snuggled together and flipped the television on, happy to be with each other…

okay here's Chapter Seven. I told ya I would post it today and I did!! Woohoo!!! anyways.. here it is... comes from my very peculiar mind. Yeah...

Chapter Seven

“Congratulations Avril!!!!” Evan said as he ran to hug her. Avril smiled and wrapped her arms around him. “Thanks.” She said smiling widely. She had just won a Radio Music Award and she had headed backstage, to be greeted warmly by Evan. He kissed her forehead and whispered, “You make me so proud Av.” And all Avril could do was hold him and smile…

The time that Avril and Evan spent together was incredible. They bonded in more ways than one; they had a better understanding of each other and related to each other better. Before they knew it, it was November. Avril had her dvd, “My World” coming out and they so they headed to New York for the day that it would be premiered…

“Ugh that flight was a killer.” Avril moaned as she collapsed on the couch. “I know. On of the worst I’ve ever taken.” Evan agreed as he propped her legs on his lap, letting himself sit down. They sat and lay there for a while before Avril got up and said, “I gotta check this place out.” She started wandering around the room and mumbling things Evan couldn’t quite comprehend. When she looked inside her bedroom Evan heard her gasp.

“Evaann… there’s a bed with your name on it!” Avril called out to him. She wanted him to come over and cuddle with her, which was one of her favorite things to do with him, even though it was becoming harder and harder for her to control her feelings for him. Avril was becoming frustrated. “Evan?” she frustrated got up and stomped over to the living room. Evan lay there on the couch sound asleep. Avril became disappointed; she was in the mood to snuggle with him. She walked slowly to her room and put her pajamas on. She picked up a dvd and put it in…

Half an hour into the movie, Avril was bored. She wished Evan were awake because he always made everything funnier. She then decided to get up and when she did, she took the dvd out and grabbed a blanket, heading over to the living room. When she got there, she put the dvd in that television, and walked over to evan. Avril took his jacket off and then positioned herself so she was laying next to him. She put the blanket over them and then started watching the movie.

The next morning avril woke up next to Evan who was still sleeping. She went to go get ready for the day and headed to the bathroom…

Evan slowly opened his eyes and looked around the room dizzily. “Damn…” he groaned. He had the hugest headache ever and he did not want to get up. He placed a throw pillow over his head to block out the sunlight…

“Argh!!” Avril heard as she came out of the bathroom. “Ev, are you okay?” she asked, walking back to the couch. “My head hurts.” She heard him groan through the pillow. Avril took the pillow out of his face so she could look at him. “Aww, I’m sorry about that. Evan today we’ll stay here so you can get better.” She told him as she brushed his long blonde hair out of his eyes.

“Avril you go. I’ll stay here, I don’t want you to have to be bored because of me. I’ll be fine.” He croaked. Avril frowned. “Absolutely not!”With that she got up and went over to the telephone. She quickly dialed a number and then spoke, “Hello? Shauna. Hi, uh cancel everything planned for today, Evan and I are gonna stay in the hotel. Bye.” Then Avril quickly hung up the phone and walked over to Evan again. She placed a blanket over him, “Don’t you worry Evan, I’ll take good care of you.”

“Evy, just one more bite.” Avril demanded as she held a sandwich to his lips. “I’m full.” He weakly protested. “Evan now.” She firmly said. He took a bite then swallowed it down. “You happy?” he said after swallowing. “Yes very happy.” Avril smiled. “I’m gonna take a quick shoer then I’ll be back. In the meantime you can rest and work on getting better.” Avril quickly kissed his cheek then walked over to the bathroom…

Evan leaned his head back and smiled. He felt a lot better, thanks to Avril, his angel. It meant so much to him that she actually cared that much about him. Although he was feeling better, he still wanted special treatment from her…

“Evan, I’m back.” She called walking to him, with her hair wet. “Av… come here.. my head hurts…” Evan croaked, hoping she would believe him. “Aw, how much does it hurt?” she asked sympathetically. “A lot.” He mumbled. “Aw Ev, come here.” Avril had been sitting across the couch from him. Evan went to her and placed his head on her stomach. “Make the pain go away.” He continued. Avril then started to run her fingers gently through his beautiful blond locks. She caressed his hair nice and slow…

“Evan, are you okay now?” Avril said after a while. “Kinda. Can we go to your bed now?” he said. By then, Avril knew he wasn’t feeling bad anymore. But, Avirl decided to play along with him… “Sure Evan, whatever makes you feel better…” she cooed. Avril stood up and helped Evan up by placing his arm around his shoulder and holding him by the waist…

When they got to the room, Avril helped Evan into the bed. “Do you need anything else Ev?” she asked. “I need you here with me.” He said, pulling off an innocent face. Avril grinned, he was absolutely adorable. “Okay I’ll stay with you.” She said, pulling the covers off so she could get in. Evan got close to her and Avril held him closely.

Avril got up from the bed and headed towards the bathroom so she could prepare a bath for Evan. She went inside and looked at all the little bottles by the sink. She picked one up and smiled. “Perfect.”

Evan was busy watching television when he heard avril calling him. Evan, come on.” He heard. He grudgingly got up and headed over to where she was. “What?” he grumbled. “Come take a bath.” She said as soon as he walked into the bathroom. Evan looked from Avril to the Jacuzzi and smiled. ‘Will you join me?” Evan slyly asked her as he took his shirt off. Avril bit her lip and wanted to say yes but decided to wait. “No you sicko. You’re the only one getting in here.” Evan frowned as he took his pants off. “Aww come on Avril. It’ll be no fun without you.” He pleaded as his boxers were the only article of clothing left on his gorgeous body. Avril wanted to say yes so badly, who wouldn’t with a guy as hot as Evan? “I mean we’re best friends right?” Evan said, interrupting her thoughts. “No shit Sherlock.” She joked sarcastically. Evan smiled at her as he got into the Jacuzzi. “You know you want to Av.” He continued.

Avril finally gave in. “Fine you win.” She said as she took her shirt off, leaving her black bra on. When she did that, Evan’s eyes were glued to her and he felt his mouth go dry. He felt his body start getting hot when Avril took her pants off. Evan didn’t know why dirty thoughts were going through his head. He wanted to grab her and touch her all over, to feel her body pressed next to his…He wanted to take her bra and panties off and just hold her next to him…

Evan felt guilty for thinking like that about Avril, his innocent, pure best friend. But he couldn’t help it, something was growing inside of his mind, a feeling, that was brainwashing him…

Avril gently came into the warm bubbly water, right across from Evan. She noticed Evan looking at her, almost like he was in a trance. “Evan? Hello?!” she said, waving her hand in front of his face. Evan snapped back into reality when he realized avril looking at him weirdly. “Oh sorry… I was just thinking.” He apologized to her quickly. “What were you thinking about?” she asked, turning her back towards him and leaning against his chest.

Evan felt her body so close to his and had this unbelievable urge to kiss her. “Oh uh nothing really. Nothing important.” He assured her, using most of his willpower to keep his hands off of her. “Oh well okay then.” She said.

To Avril, being with him right there felt right. They were both there pretty much half naked and together in a Jacuzzi; to other it would’ve looked sexual but Avril and Evan made it innocent.

Evan’s mind was going crazy. He wanted to take her bra off and kiss her long and hard. He did not know how he was keeping his hands to himself but he was miserably. He looked at Avril who was absentmindedly humming a tune and he wondered how he could feel those feelings, those feelings so strong, just for one person.

“Hey Ev,” Avril asked. “Y..Yeah?” he stammered. “I was wondering what you would think about…” and then Evan let Avril continue talking to get his mind past the nasty thoughts going through his mind about her…

About half an hour later, both Avril and Evan got out. Evan placed a towel around her shoulders and wrapped a towel around his waist. As he moved his hair out of his eyes, Avril started to giggle. “What?” Whatrya laughing at?” Evan asked.

“I can’t believe that we went into the tub together like half naked.” She got out. Evan thought about it, and realized that it was pretty funny. He began to laugh and they got out of the bathroom…

The next day was the “My World” dvd premier and Avril was going to go to TRL. The day went by quickly for both of them and the next thing they knew, it was nighttime. “Today was a long day.” Evan said as he closed their door. “Sure was.” Avril tiredly replied. “Well you should get your sleep.” He told her walking in front of her. “I guess… goodnight Ev. Thanks for everything.” She said, hugging him. Evan held her tightly then when avril started to pull away, Evan wasn’t budging. She looked at his face confusedly and when she did, Evan just kissed her forehead and slowly let go. “Goodnight.” He whispered, walking to his room.

Avril just watched him walking away and felt slightly disappointed. Lately every night she had been wanting more than a goodnight kiss from him. Her body ached to have him around her, just holding her gently. She slowly walked to her room and after awhile, she dozed off…

The week soon passed by quickly and then Avril headed to Canada while Evan headed to Maryland to celebrate Thanksgiving and take a break, although both did not want to part from each other. When they both returned to their respectable homes, both felt lonely without the other, after all they had spent so much time together…

Avril went back to L.A. to finish up recording while Evan would have a bit of a longer break. While she was in L.A. she started partying it up with people such as Sum 41 and people she used to despise like the Hilton sisters and Nicole Ritchie. Word was spreading quickly about how hard she had been drinking and partying. Evan was becoming a bit disturbed at how she was acting. He knew that normally she wouldn’t be caught dead with those people. Avril had been drinking immensely and he was also worried that something might happen to her…

Avril woke up with a huge headache. She groaned and buried her face in her pillow, trying to go back to sleep. No luck. Grumbling, she got up and headed to the bathroom.

Evan looked at the hotel door number and sighed. This was it. He brought his hand up to the door and knocked. Once, then twice. No answer. Again, once, then twice…

Avril heard a knock on her door and grumbled. Who could it be? She thought. She turned the light off and went to go get the door. When she opened the door she had to blink and rub her eyes. Evan?

“Evan?” she said, very confused. “Hey Avril.” He said lowly. Avril was still a little shocked to see him. “Um… come in.,” she said, motioning him in. He stepped in and she closed the door. “Um, can I ask you why you’re here?” she said. Evan looked at her and breathed. “Avril, I need to talk to you.”

Avril sat down and crossed her arms. “What do you want to talk about?” she asked warily. “I want to talk to you about your behavior lately.” He said, unsure of how she would react. “My behavior? What f*cking behavior? Oh god you sound like my mom.” Avril snapped, rolling her eyes. Evan was a bit hurt but continued, “ Av, the way you’ve been partying every f*cking night. How you’ve been drinking non-stop. Do you realize what you’re doing to yourself?” his temper rising a bit. “What the f*ck Evan? I’ll act however the f*ck I want to act.” She said, standing up. “f*ck. Listen, you need to see that you’re hurting your body with all that drinking and you’re not acting like yourself.” He said, now pleading with her. Avril turned around and began walking to her room. Evan walked to her and grabbed her arm, turning her around. “Av…” he tried.

“Get the hell away from me Evan. You can’t tell me what’s right and what’s wrong.” She yelled. She tried moving out of his grasp but Evan had grabbed her other arm. “Avril, calm down. I k now you.” He yelled. Avril tried shrugging him off but no use. “Evan f*ck you. You have no idea who I am. Don’t ever talk to me again.” She screamed at him.

When she said that, Evan just let her go. His heart broke and he didn’t know what to say or do.

Avril saw the sorrowful look on Evan’s face and she felt guilty. She opened her mouth and felt like crying.

“Whatever.” Evan finally said. He started walking to the door and he opened it. “Evan wait!” Avril said, reaching out for his arm. Evan moved so she wouldn’t touch him. “Don’t touch me.” He said. “Evan please…” Avril tried to talk to him but Evan didn’t want to talk to her. “Avril f*ck you. I’m so tired of trying to protect you and make everything better when I’m only being taken for granted. I’m just gonna leave so you can hang with your good for nothing friends and get drunk 24/7. Bye.” With that he slammed the door, leaving Avril to take everything in.

When Evan left, Avril’s mind just… filled with useless thoughts. How could she have been so stupid? Why had she been acting like that? Why had she been so harsh to him? She hated herself for saying what she said to Evan. She didn’t mean them but she knew that she couldn’t turn back time. She crumbled to the floor and started to cry. Because that’s all she could think of doing…

Evan angrily went down the elevator and angrily sighed. He was frustrated with Avril. She meant so much to him and he hated seeing her like that. But if she was just going to toss him out of her life then so be it. He wasn’t gonna risk his heart getting hurt more than it already was…

hehe sorry i haven't posted but its been really hard writing.. um.. i typed the next chapter but i'm not happy with it. but what the hell here you go. I'm working on the next chapter which will be easier for me to write.. I for some reason didn't feel like writing this chapter.. okay I'll stop rambling. here you go.


Chapter Eight

Chapter Eight

Avril was miserable the next couple days, just staying in her room and moping around. She was feeling horrible emotionally and nothing could bring her spirits up. At the studio, she acted very distant and secluded barely talking. The first couple night she had tried going out to party but Evan was always on her mind.
Evan was pretty angry. He was angry with Avril but most of all, he was angry with himself for not going back to Avril and try to help her. He didn’t know when he would be ready to talk to her, but he figured it wouldn’t be anytime soon.
Avril looked nervously at the telephone and with her hands shaking, she picked up the phone. She dialed a familiar number and then listened to the phone ring…
Evan’s cell phone started ringing. He didn’t know if he should pick it up or not. When the ringing wouldn’t stop he grabbed it. “Hello?” he said. He heard silence. “Hello? Who is it?” Again silence. “Hello?” he said one last time. “Hi.” He heard a small voice say. “Av?” “Hi Evan.” He heard Avril say weakly. “What do you want?” he asked tired. “I.. I’m… I just wanted to say that I’m sorry. Bye-“ “Wait!!” Evan said suddenly, “Can I come over?” “ I’ll save you the trouble. Where are you staying?” Reluctantly Evan gave her the address to where he was staying and they both hung up.
Evan went to shower and got prepared for Avril’s visit. Evan though he was a bit mad at her, he wanted to look good for her…
Avril changed into a short black skirt and a tight black shirt. She wanted Evan to forgive her and would do whatever it took for him to do that. She placed a black hoody on herself and looked at the mirror one last time. She clasped her hands together and walked out…
Evan was sitting on the couch, anxiously waiting for Avril’s arrival. He tapped his fingers nervously. He had no idea why he was nervous but he was. As he started twisting his fingers in his hair a knock on the door was heard. He quickly got up and opened it. There was Avril. To him, she looked gorgeous. He felt his heart speed up as he looked at her. “Hey.” She shyly said. “Hi.” He said just as timidly. “Come in.” she slowly walked in and he closed the door. They walked to the couches and Avril sat on one while Evan sat on another. “You look nice.” Evan said. “Thank you. You do too.” She said quietly. Then silence broke into the atmosphere. Avril couldn’t stand it, so she just broke. “Evan, I’m sorry about what I said and how I’ve been acting. I didn’t mean what I said, it was just anger. Evan please forgive me. I can’t sleep without knowing that you’re mad at me. I hate myself for talking the way I did.” Avril rushed. Evan just stared at her, not saying anything. Avril gulped, not knowing what he was thinking. She began fidgeting with the hem of her skirt and looking at the floor.
Evan abruptly got up and sat next to her. He pulled her into a hug and kissed her forehead. “Av, I forgive you. But will you please lighten up on the partying?” “I promise Evan. I hate fighting with you.” She said, smiling up at him. They hugged tightly and they both feel back into the couch, with Evan ontop of her. “Did I tell you that you look sexy?” Evan lightly joked. “You pervert.” Avril smiled. He wrapped his arms around her waist and they stayed together for the rest of the day…

“Well I’m gonna head home now.. It’s… late.” Evan took his hands from around her waist as they got up. “I’ll walk you to your hotel. It’s not far from here.” He said. “I’d like that.” Avril smiled. They walked out and headed to her place…
Evan held Avril’s hand as he walked her back to her hotel. They both said nothing; just taking in the calm night of that particular day. Avril liked the way Evan held her hand so gently. He was such a great guy and she knew she was blessed to have him in her life. She looked at his face and smiled.

Evan noticed that Avril had stopped walking and he looked at her. “You okay Av?” he asked. Avril just smiled at him and nodded. She started walking again so Evan just followed her lead.
Soon they got to her hotel. They went upstairs and when they got to her door Evan said, “I guess this is goodnight then.” Avril looked at him and said, I don’t want you to go… yet.” She then started blushing slightly and started looking at her fingers, suddenly becoming very interested in them. “Well if you don’t want me to go then I’ll stay with you.” Evan smiled slightly. “well then okay…” Avril said looking up. They walked into her room and they sat in her living room, not doing anything…
The clock read 12:00 Midnight. Evan was still up when he looked down at Avril who was asleep. Usually Avril fell asleep before he did and that’s the way he liked it. The reason he liked it was because he liked to look at Avril. He moved down so he was looking at her face to face. He loved the way her light brown hair always fell to her face. He loved her cute nose. The way her curvy lips were so full and… beautiful. He couldn’t get enough of her.
Evan got up and bent down to kiss Avril. “Goodnight.” He softly whispered, even though she was asleep. Evan was walking towards the door when avril softly stirred. “Evan…” Evan turned around and saw Avril with her hair slightly tousled. He saw her look at the clock and read 12:15. “Ev, where are you going? It’s too damn late for you to leave.” She said yawning. “I don’t want to both…” “Evan, don’t be ridiculous. You’re staying here tonight.” She said, motioning for him to come to her. He headed her way and when he did, she held out her hand for him to hold. He grabbed it and they walked to her room, soon to doze off…
“So…” Avril started as they lay in her bed the next day. “Yeah….” Evan murmured, “Well I’m gonna go back to my hotel and go change.” He said getting up. “Okay then bye. Call me so we can get together and meet up somewhere.” She said, sitting up on her bed. “Okay bye.” Then Evan left. When he did, Avril laid back again and sighed. That previous night had been…. Awkward to say the least. They had slept in the same bed millions of times before but that night was even weirder than the first time. When they had gotten in there, everything seemed fine but as the night wore on, it just… they felt shy.. Avril didn’t want to get too close to him and it seemed that Evan was shying away from her. The past night had been restless. Avril thought. But she couldn’t complain, Evan after all had forgiven her. She just smiled and tried to get at least a little sleep. ..
Later Avril went to the studio to meet up with Ben Moody, where they spit out a couple songs together. She felt like being productive so she worked at the studio for pretty much the whole day and when she finally unplugged herself from the musical world, she realized she hadn’t talked to Evan the whole day. As she got into her car, she picked up her cell phone. She dialed Evan’s number into it but before she pressed the CALL button she hesitated. Should she call him? Maybe she shouldn’t… She didn’t want to bother him if he was busy. Besides if he really wanted to talk to her, he would call…
Evan had just gotten back from hanging out with some friends and he realized that it was dinnertime. He decided to pick something up from a restaurant and eat it at his room… He got into his car and drove off…
Avril realized that she was hungry but she didn’t feel like waiting around at a restaurant. She decided to pick up some Chinese food and take it back with her…
Evan parked in front of a Chinese restaurant where he often picked up food from when he was in the area. He stepped out, walking inside…
“What would you like to order?” the lady asked her. Avril looked up from the takeout menu. “Um.. I’ll have the egg drop soup to go please.” Avril said politely. “Is that all?” the woman asked her. “Yes.” “It’ll be $8.95.” Avril pulled her wallet out of her purse and handed her the money. As she waited for her food to be cooked, she noticed a guy coming towards the counter, but it wasn’t just any guys.. It was…
“Evan?” Avril said surprised as Evan neared the counter. “Hey Av, what are you doing here?” he asked, just as surprised. “I’m picking up food to go. What are you doing here?” she asked him. “I’m picking up food as well. I love this place and I come here everytime I can.” Evan informed her.
“Sir can I help you?” the lady asked, interrupting their conversation. “Uh yeah. Can I have some vegetable egg rolls and wonton soup to go?” Evan said. “Sure. Your total will be $12.95.” Evan handed her the money and as he did, he asked avril, “Do you want to hang out at my place, you now eat there and drink a couple beers?” “Sure!” Avril eagerly responded. As they waited for their food, they told each other what they had done that day…
Avril and Evan were laughing uncontrollably as they sipped on their beer. “I can’t believe we did that.” Avril laughed as they were recalling past memories. “Yeah we were pretty stupid.” He said. They laughed a bit then kept on drinking. “I’m gonna go get another beer, you want one?” he asked. “Sure.’ She said. He got up and headed towards the kitchen.
Avril was pretty drunk while hanging over at Evan’s. She was just staring around the place when she decided to go to Evan. She lowly staggered towards the kitchen. Evan was there taking the caps off of the beers when he looked up, seeing avril there. “Hey.” He said. Avril unsteadily walked to him and wrapped her arms around him. “Hey Evan…” she mumbled. “Hey Avril.” He drunkily responded. “You look really really sexy.” She slurred. “You do too.” He laughed. “You look really yummy.” She mumbled, kissing his neck. “Mm.. you are too.” He said, holding her back. Avril placed wet kises all over his neck and giggled when Evan placed his hand under her shirt, lightly tickling her. “Evan you know I hate it when you tickle me.” She giggled. “Really?!? Well then…” Evan removed his hands from under her shirt and placed them on the back of her neck, slightly leaning her head back so he could kiss her neck now. Avril moaned when she felt him nibbling on her neck. Avril moaned and bit her lip to hold in a burst of laughter. Evan and Avril looked at each other and without realizing what they were doing, they quickly leaned in and planted their lips on each other, kissing each other frantically. When their lips came into contact with each other, they quickly pulled back, reality slapping them in the face. They looked at teach other with puzzled expressions and bewildered eyes. “What just happened?” avril said, “I… you… we.. uh.. I can’t think straight right now.” He stammered. “Yeah I’m way too drunk.” She muttered.
Both Avril and Evan knew that they had f*cked it up but they didn’t what to do about it. It was too late now. Without a word, they waked out of the room, mute.
“Av, you can sleep in my bed. You’re too drunk to go back to your hotel.” Evan said. Avril knew that he was right so she didn’t argue. “Okay. Goodnight.” She said going to his bed.
Evan was going to sleep on his couch so he headed over there and laid down. He knew everything was screwed up and he couldn’t fix it. He kept on telling himself that he was stupid, for getting drunk with her in the first place. He groaned as he put his hands on his face. What was he going to do?
Avril just lay there, her mind repeating what had just happened. She wondered what would happen between the two of them after that incident. Avril knew that it was a stupid move getting drunk with him but she couldn’t erase anything. As she lay there, the pit of her stomach hurt, from longing for Evan to be there with her. She wanted him more than ever now and the feeling was too hard to control. But what could she do about it? For now, nothing.

okay here is chapter nine. I hope you enjoy it. Chapter Ten will be the last chapter, then I'm ending the story.

By the way the lyrics I used in this chapter were from the song "I Knew I Loved You" by Savage Garden.

Chapter Nine

Avril slipped her shoes on and headed towards the front door. As she did that, she noticed Evan sleeping soundly on the couch. Avril slowly walked to him and just stared at him, admiring his beauty. She longed to just snuggle up next to him and forget about everything but she knew that she shouldn’t. Things would get more awkward than they already were if he woke up. Avril heavily sighed and disappointedly looked at him one last time. Then she slowly left his hotel, with a pang in her heart…

Evan woke up soon after and it took some time for his mind to register that he was lying on his couch. He slowly got up and reality came back to him with a surprise. He suddenly remembered what had happened the previous night. How right, yet how wrong it felt… He wondered if Avril was still sleeping. Evan walked to his bedroom and slowly opened the door but when he walked in he found nobody there. He frowned but didn’t think anything else.

Soon Hanukah and Christmas came for Evan and Avril and they both went their separate ways. After the night of that “event” they didn’t call one another and they did not see each other. Both Avril and Evan longed to see the other but were too embarrassed to face each other, which was quite unfortunate considering all the time they had spent with each other… A little surprise was set for the both of them. Avril received a Christmas gift from Evan and Evan received a Hanukah present from Avril. They felt happy knowing that at least the one had thought of the other…

“Hey Matt,” Avril said to her drummer as she called him during late December. “Hey Avril! Whatcha been up to lately? He warmly greeted her. “Good. I guess. Listen, I’m throwing a New Year’s party and I was wondering if you wanted to come. I invited the Sum guys over and a bunch of my other friends so it’ll be fun,” she said. “Sure I’ll come! But I have a few questions. Is Jesse coming?” Matt said, turning serious. Avril grew grim then responded, “I called to see if he wanted to come but he said it would be best if he didn’t.” Matt knew what had happened and didn’t continue. “Well can’t wait to see you and Evan and everybody else there then.” Avril blushed at the hear of Evan’s name and had to ask Matt for a favor. “Hey Mattt, speaking of Evan… can I ask for a favor?” Matt then grew very curious and eagerly said, “Sure what?” Avril calmed herself down before saying, “Well… can you call Evan and ask if he would come?” Matt became very confused. “Why do you want me to do that? Did you guys fight or did something happen? Avril blushed again then said, “Well yeah something happened…” Matt egged her on, “What what?” “Well one night we were drunk and uh.. we kind of made out. And since that night we haven’t really talked to each other.” Matt knew that that was bound to happen sometime. “Okay Av, I’ll call him but you gotta talk to him sometime.” “I know I know. I will.” Avril rushed. They said their goodbyes and avril sat there wondering when she could actually have the courage to talk to him.

Matt called Evan and told him about Avril’s party. Evan was more than happy to go but was still a bit uncomfortable about meeting up with her. Hw knew he would have to confront her at her party….

December 30, 2003.
Matt had insisted on he and Evan coming over to help Avril prepare for her party the next day and Avril reluctantly agreed. She knew Evan was staying over at Matt’s and was strongly suspicious of Matt’s purposes to come over…
“Hey Avril!” Matt greeted her when Avril opened the door. “Hey Matt!!” they hugged each other and when they pulled apart Avril had to ask, “Where’s Evan? I thought he was with you.” Matt smiled and said, “He’s coming. He was just getting something out of the car.” Avril breathed a sigh of relief then started.” Well Matt-“ “Can I come in?’ Avril looked and there stood Evan looking as hot as usual. “Yeah.” Avirl said. Matt knew this was going to be a bit awkward so he quickly said, “ I’m gonna use the bathroom.” Then he left, leaving Avril and Evan there. “It’s nice to see you again.” Evan said. “Nice to see you too.” They slowly stepped a bit forward and when they did they reluctantly hugged each other and pulled away quickly. “I’m glad you could come.” She timidly said. “I’m glad you invited me.” They stood there looking around the room, not being bale to say anything else. Evan couldn’t stand it so he just broke. “Listen Avril. I don’t want things to be awkward between us. Let’s just forget about what happened.” He blurted. Avril looked at him and replied, “Yeah I don’t want things to be awkward between us either. It would probably be best if we forgo about it.” They looked at each other and breathed a sigh of relief. Avril stuck her hand out and said, “Friends?” Evan grabbed her hand and pulled her close. “Best friends.” He wrapped his arms around her and repeated, “Best friends.” Her arms snaked around his waist and they stayed like that.

Matt had figured that he had been waiting around long enough so he walked over to where Avril and Evan had been. He caught sight of them hugging and smiled. “Hey guys.” Avril and Evan pulled apart and grinned at Matt. “Hey.” Soon after they cleaned her house up a bit and Matt offered to go grocery shopping while Avril and Evan would stay and continue to clean up some more.

Avril had her legs propped up on the coffee table while Evan was busy dusting. “Av, I thought we were BOTH going to work.” Evan commented as he lifted her feet up to dust that spot. “But you’re so much better at that than I am.” She said, in a sugary sweet voice. “The things I do for you.” He joked as he went to sit down next to her. “Yes the things you do for me.” She laughed.

“Ev, I’m gonna go ahead and shower okay?” she said, getting up. “Sure. Let me join you.” He said, pretending to get up. “Haha. You wish. You can shower in the other bathroom if you want.” She said. “Okay I think I will.” He said. Avril showed him to his bathroom and she went to hers. They showered and they finished around the same time. Avril wrapped her towel around her body while Evan wrapped a towel around his waist. The walked past each other as they got out and when they did, Evan winked at Avril saying, “Looking good there Av.” Avril bit her lip to try to stifle a laugh. “Not so bad yourself Mr. Taubenfeld.” They laughed at their stupid laughing and went to go change.

Avril as she waited for Evan outside of his door. Evan finally stepped out and she said, “Okay Ev, what do we do now?” “Well your house is pretty much clean now so I don’t know. What do you want to do?” Avril thought for a moment then came up with a great idea. “Let’s go outside and walk around. I have a treehouse in my backyard!” she said excitedly. Evan grinned and said, “Well then let’s go.” They got their coats and shoes and went outside…

It had started to lighty snow when they went outside. “Don’t you just love snow?” avril said, skipping around like a little girl. “Not as much as you.” Evan laughed, trying to catch up with her. “Come on Evan. I want to show you the treehouse!” she grabbed his arm and dragged him towards the treehouse. She started climbing up the ladder and Evan followed her. When they got up there, Avril crawled to a corner and Evan did the same.

“It’s warm up here.” Evan said, looking around the snug treehouse. “Yeah…. I love it. My dad and I built it when I first bought the house.” She told him, bringing her knees to her chest. Evan leaned against one of the walls and sighed. “Avril, can I ask you a question?” Evan said, not sure if he should bring the subject up. “Yeah?” Avril said, playing with her shoelaces. “Is Jesse coming?” he got out with difficulty. Avril looked at him and sighed. “I invited him but he said that it would be best if he didn’t come, which I guess is good. I don’t wanna lose him as a friend.” Evan tried to hide a smile threatening to creep up on his face. “I guess it is best.” He said. “Yeah…. We should get back to the house in case Matt comes back.” Avril said crawling over to the ladder was. “Yeah.” Evan agreed, following her. They walked down the ladder and walked back to her house, occasionally throwing snowballs at each other.

When they got into her house, they were soaked, with pieces of ice and snow on them. “I’ll make some hot chocolate if you want some.” Avril offered, taking off her coat. “Sure, that would be great.” Evan flashed her one of his million dollar smiles and all avril could do was blush furiously. “I’ll go make it.” She rushed, quickly walking over to her kitchen.

When Evan had taken off all the wet articles of clothing off his body, he went over to the living room to wait for her there. He sat himself down on the couch and leaned back. Evan then started thinking about what was going on with his relationship with Avril… He knew that when they had kissed, they had been drunk, but he really wanted to know what Avril had thought of the incident. He had been having feelings for her for a while, which was really uncomfortable, because you couldn’t just kiss your best friend. Evan had been thinking of telling her how he felt about her but… but what? He should tell her…

Avril held two mugs of hot chocolate and brought them to the living room, because she knew Evan would be there. “Here you go.” Avril said, handing him a mug of hot chocolate. ‘Thanks.” He said, grabbing his cup. She sat down next to him, putting her mug on the coffee table. “I’m cold.” She said, grabbing a blanket and placing it over them. She leaned her head on his shoulder. “All better.” Evan smiled down at her and wondered how she could feel so relaxed when he felt so nervous.

“Avril, there’s something I want to…. Need to tell you.” Evan said, straightening up. Avril looked up at him worried. “What? Is it something wrong? Is it bad?” “No, no… At least I don’t think so.” Evan said with a serious face on. “Evan tell me… Please.” Avril said, getting up in front of him and kneeling. Evan looked down at her and bent his head down. Avril slightly got up so her face was leveled with his. “Evan?” she asked, tilting his chin up so she could gaze into his eyes. When he didn’t say anything, she started going through in her own mind what could be going on in his head.

As Avril gazed into her eyes intently, Evan felt that his mind was going to explode. Words were being screamed in all directions and they were driving him nuts. Evan couldn’t get the right words out of his mouth and his mind wasn’t doing what he wanted it to do.

Evan felt his hands placed themselves on Avril’s cheeks, cupping them and bringing her face close. He had no idea what he was doing but he was doing it. He tilted his head a little to the right and looked at those beautiful blue eyes of hers.

Avril had felt his hands on her face and now she felt his breath. Her heart started racing really fast and she felt her body quiver. As she leaned in, she slowly closed her eyes and waited for the magic feel of Evan’s lips ontop of hers…

“I’m back!!!” Matt yelled putting down the grocery bags, “The door was open so I…”
he stopped when he saw Avril and Evan. Avril quickly got up and ran to the kitchen while Evan leaned his head down, putting his hand on his forehead. “Ev, my man what the f*ck just happened?” Matt asked, walking over to him. Evan shook his head in frustration. “I was so close to telling Avril how I felt. So close to feeling our lips together. I was so close.” Evan angrily said. “Sorry for ruining your moment.” Matt responded with a high of guilt in his voice. “It’s not your fault, it’s mine.’ He said. “I can’t stay here anymore without wanting her as more than a friend. It’s driving me insane.” He said, standing up. “Man she loves you. So tell her.” Matt said. “What if she doesn’t feel the same way?” “Listen, she loves you. I mean for my birthday Avril didn’t fly over and surprise me. Charlie, Jesse and I… we weren’t asked to help her with her album. We weren’t the ones she wanted to live with. Remember during the tour, who’s bunk did Avril always go to when she was scared or lonely? Yours. Who did she always flirt with, talk about, hang all over? You Evan. It’s so f*cking obvious and you are too blind to see what you really felt about her and what she felt for you. She was the same way. Just tell her.” Matt said, shooting out those words.

It took Evan a while for all that to register in his brain but when it did, he realized Matt was right. “I gotta tell her… you’re right…. I just… I need to get away right now.” He muttered more to himself than to Matt, “I gotta tell her.”


Avril was drinking a glass of water to calm her nerves down. Her mind was racing and she wasn’t thinking straight. “f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck…’ was the only word going through her mind. What was she thinking? She knew she loved him as more than just a friend. What was she thinking having him sleep over at her house? Not that she had minded… but Avril very well knew that her temptation was strong enough to take over her. She leaned her forehead against the counter and heavily sighed.

“Matt, I can’t stay here right now, knowing she’s here and this is her house… and I can’t do this right now.” Evan said to Matt as he thought things over.” Evan said to Matt as he thought things over. “Evan, I know you’re not a coward. Don’t do this to yourself and Avril. You guys want each other so just go for it.” Matt tried persuading his friend to stay there for the night, and Evan just sat there, his thoughts holding him captive…

Matt and Evan ended up staying the night at Avril’s house, like planned. Matt had to practically beg Evan to stay and in the end, he succeeded. But of course things were awkward between Avril and Evan, they barely spoke to each other. A slight brush on the shoulders and one would quickly apologize and blush, making sure to walk away quickly…

December 31, 2003

The last day of 2003 come. Which meant letting go of the past year and starting fresh again, on a clean slate. Avril got up from her bed and went to go make herself a cup of coffee. She put her bathrobe on and headed down the stairs…

When she got to the kitchen, she noticed Matt peering through her refrigerator, pulling out what seemed like the whole fridge. “Morning Matt.” Avril said, walking over to her coffee maker. “Morning.” He mumbled through what seemed to be a muffin. “Is… uh.. Evan still sleeping?” Avril said, suddenly becoming very interested on the refrigerator magnets. “No, he said he had to do some shopping. Don’t know what for. Probably hair spray.” Matt laughed at his own joke while Avril lightly laughed. “Oh well then… I think I’m gonna showier and do… something.” Avril told Matt as he headed towards the stairwell.

“Hey Avril, let me ask you something.” Matt said, now popping cereal into his mouth. “Okay what?” she asked. “How long have you loved Evan?” he asked. Avril then woke up at his question. “What?” she asked. “How long have you loved Evan? He repeated. “How… what… Are you trying to imply that I have certain feelings for Evan?” she asked, trying to stay strong. “No, I’m trying to get you to tell me how much you love him.” Matt said in a matter of fact tone. Avril just stared at Matt, no words coming out of her mouth. She just put her head down and began to cry.

Matt didn’t mean to get that reaction from her; he just wanted her to admit it. He gave Avril a hug; he didn’t know what to say. “Avril what’s wrong? I didn’t mean to upset you.” He rushed. Avril shook her head. “It’s not you…” “Avril, well…” avril cut him off. “I have been so close… so close to showing Evan how I feel, but every time I do, everything f*cks up and my chance either passes by or gets ruined. I have been living with this secret for a long time and it’s been deteriorating me and it hurts knowing that we’re so close yet so distant.” Avril said, regaining her senses and wiping her tears away. Matt didn’t say anything, and then avril walked to her room, thinking about whom else? Evan.

The day wore on painfully for Avril, nervously for Evan. Soon it was 10:00 P.M. Drinks were flowing, people were dancing, everybody was having a good time… well… almost everyone. Avril just drank herself away, not getting drunk but drunk enough to forget about her problems.

Evan had snuck into Avril’s room and was placing candles around the room. He pulled a lighter out of his pocket and slowly began lighting the candles. Evan took a step back to look to see if everything was perfect. Perfect. He took his acoustic guitar out of its case and leaned it against her bed. He sighed, hoping his plan would work.

“Hey Avril.” Matt said, sitting down to her on the couch. “Hey.” Avril said. They stared at everybody who was drinking, dancing and having a good time. “Avril go to your room right now.” Matt suddenly ordered. “ Avril looked at him confused, with a weird look on her face. “What are you, my dad?” she quizzed. “Avril just go and have a look see in there okay?” Matt pleaded. “Okay fine but for the record I think you’re the weirdest guy ever.” She informed him before leaving the room. Matt just prayed and hoped everything would work out.


Evan looked at his watch and wondered if Matt had told Avril on what to do. He looked around the dark room and hoped his plan would be flawless…

Avril trudged up the stairs, getting lazy all of a sudden. She walked down the hallway and went to her bedroom. She opened the door…

Evan saw the door being opened and got nervous. Then in walked Avril. By candlelight, she looked magnificent; like an angel just descending down. Evan saw the shocked expression on her face. “Hey Avril.” He spoke up.

Avril was shocked to say the least. Was that all for her? Evan was so romantic. She looked at all the candles surrounding her room and the single red rose. Evan held in his hand. “I hope you don’t mind me coming into your room like this.” Evan said apologetically. “I don’t mind at all,” Avril breathed, “Is this… for me?” Evan nodded his head and said, “ Avril, I want to tell you something and I need to tell you right now. Sit down.” He beckoned for her to sit next to him and Avril did. Evan turned to her, grabbing his guitar and said, “This song really shows how I feel about you. Everytime I hear it, I think of you. I’m not good one on one but I’ll try.” He breathed in and started…

Avril looked at him, every second wanting more and more to take his guitar away and kiss him. But this was so beautiful. She now knew she had nothing to hide from him.

Evan sang the song with all his heard, wanting Avril to know how much he loved her. He closed his eyes and thought about her face, then started again…

Avril then thanked God for putting Evan on Earth, for making him pretty much perfect. She softly smiled as she stared adoringly at Evan. Her heart, like in the old movies, skipped a beat and she felt butterflies in her stomach…

As Evan finished, Avril gently applauded. “Ev, that was so romantic. I… I love you.” Evan put his guitar on his side and brought her closer to him. He placed her hair behind her ears and caressed her face. “I….” Evan was cute off by the loud cheers from downstairs. “Happy New Years. I love you too.” Avril and Evan smiled at each other and then the REAL long awaited kiss came…

Avril was on top of Evan while Evan held her waist. They were on the floor of her room, kissing and bringing in the New Year. They would only occasionally stop to take a breath, and then would resume to the lip lock. “Oh Evan I love you so much.” Avril said breathlessly. “Avril, I love you so much too. It killed me having you so near me but still not being able to have you.” “Well you have me now.” She said smiling. “I know.” Evan grinned, rubbing the skin on her back. “I almost forgot…” he got up and walked over to the counter where he had earlier set two wine glasses and a bottle of red wine. He poured some in each then walked on over to Avril who was laying on her bed, waiting for Evan. He handed her a glass then they clinked glasses. “To us.” He smiled. “To us.” They drank some wine then Avril pulled him close to her. “I love you.” She said as she sat her glass down. Evan did the same. “I love you too.” Avril bit her lip and pulled his neck down. “Kiss me Evan.” She grinned playfully. “My pleasure…” Evan said, before leaning down to envouge her in a magical world where only the two of them existed…

alas, here is the last chapter of Daydream. I had a great time writing it, it took me out of the real world and set me into my own place. I would like to thank everybody that read the story, I appreciated all your comments and you guys made me feel that I was actually good at this. Gah... this is sad lol I have tears welling up lol... If there's one thing you learned in reading this story I hope it... AWENJ!!!!!!!!!!!

The Final Chapter
Chapter Ten

Avril woke up the next morning with Evan by her side. Se smiled; Evan was now all hers. She bent over to his face and kissed him long and hard. When he didn’t wake up, she just shrugged and snuggled under the covers with him.

Evan awoke from a deep sleep and yawned loudly. He woke up, trying to remember what happened and then he remembered. Avril was his. He was Avril’s. They were together, as in a couple. More than best friends. The thought excited him when he thought about it. He looked\ at her and noticed that she was awake.

“Morning Avril.” They leaned next to each other and slowly kissed. “Morning Evan. I love you.” She said as soon as they ended the kiss. “I love you too Av.” The two lovebirds hugged each other and stayed there, looking at each other’s eyes very intently. The two continued like that until Avril felt her stomach grumble. “Let’s go eat!” she said laughing. “Okay.” He grinned, getting up. They both headed to the bathroom together and brushed their teeth together, throwing lovingly looks at each other’s way. When they finished, they both headed out, hand in hand and walked downstairs, feeling that being together was too good to be true.

When they got downstairs they noticed the huge mess in her kitchen, living room, and bathrooms. Avril groaned while Evan just shook his head in disapproval. “We’ll get this place cleaned up.” Evan said, while Avril turned away from the mess by burying her face against his chest. Evan just held her hand and looked disgustingly around.

Evan, Avril, I headed back to Ajax with Deryck and Dave- Matt

“Well I guess it’s just the two of us.” Avril said, suddenly very cheerful. “Yup. Okay I have a plan; we clean up then go out to breakfast. Up for it?” he asked. “Perrfeecccttttt,” she purred sexily and Evan burst out laughing. “Love you Av.” He said. “Love you too Ev.” They were now constantly saying how much they loved each other and they hadn’t been together for more than 12 hours.

Cleanup only took about two hours. Avril feigned that was EXTREMELY tired and collapsed on the couch. Evan smiled and lay ontop of her. Avril groaned, “Evan, I can’t breathe!” Evan got off her and said, “Fine! Be that way.” He pretended to stomp off and Avril laughed. “Come here Evan.” Evan walked back towards her and picked her up. Avril wrapped her arms around his neck, licking it while Evan took her upstairs. When he got to her room, he dropped her on her bed. “You can shower and I’ll see you in a couple minutes.” Then he walked out and went to the other bathroom to shower.

Avril frowned; she wanted him to stay with her. She grabbed her towel and went to shower….

Evan finished quickly and waited for Avril to finish up. He sat on a chair in her room and lightly hummed a tune in his head. He ran his fingers through his blonde hair and listened to Avril’s singing in the background. He laughed when he could distinctively the song she was singing; she had just added a twist to it…

Evan’s my daydream

Avril had never felt so happy and bubbly before. She felt like she was in heaven, everything was absolutely perfect. She turned the water off and stepped out with a towel around hr body. She opened the door and saw Evan sitting in the chair. Avril grinned and decided to tease him a bit. She walked over to the radio and turned it on. It was Britney Spear’s “Toxic.” Avril wrinkled her nose but that song would have to do.

She walked in front of him and began to slowly dance in front of him. Evan looked at her with just her towel on and smiled. She ran her hand through her hair and then moved her hand down towards the knot on her towel. She slowly turned around and undid the knot. She inched the towel down but covered herself up enough so Evan couldn’t see anything. Avril then looked over her bare shoulder and looked at Evan innocently. Evan was getting excited at her teasing, she was so sexy. He looked at her do her little dance and when she wrapped her towel on again, he groaned. “Aw Avril, you’re such a tease. I want more than that.” Avril bit her lip and walked over to him. “What do you want Ev?” she asked. “A lap dance.” He grinned. “No!!” she exclaimed. Then she grabbed hold of his left hand and kissed it gently. She guided his hand to her shoulder and let him feel her bare skin.

Evan felt her soft skin and by the way Avril slightly groaned , he thought he should continue. He pulled her closer and pulled her on his lap. His hands were splayed on her back and neck, while Avril ran her hands from his neck to back. He kissed her neck and shoulders while Avril whispered in his ear. She nibbled on his ear while Evan gently bit her chest and neck. They looked at each other and Evan gently pressed his lips on hers. When their lips came into contact, Avril grew excited and grabbed his face, kissing him hard. Evan moaned in her mouth and kissed just as hard. “I better get dressed now.” Avril said, suddenly breaking the kiss. Evan regained control of his breath and said, “Okay.” They kissed one last time and Avril got off him. “By the way that was better than a lap hand.” Evan said. Avril smirked and said, “I bet it was.” Evan laughed and began to get up so she could change but Avril stopped him. “Don’t go.” She winked. Evan sat back down and picked up a magazine.

Avril wanted to surprise him a little so she called him, “Evan.” Evan looked up at her and when he did, Avril dropped her towel, exposing herself to Evan. Evan’s mouth dropped open when he looked at her up and down. She was gorgeous. He examined every inch of her body and took it all in. He wanted to go over and touch her but he was too stunned by her beauty to do so…

Avril smiled and started to her drawers to pick some clothes out. She put her bra on then her underwear. When she found a shirt to put on, she felt hands on her stomach. She turned around and faced Evan. Evan took the shirt from her hand and tossed it aside, putting Avril on her drawer counter. He buried himself in her chest, kissing her breast and Avril leaned back and let herself feel everything.

“Evan I’m hungry,” Avril said as her stomach grumbled. “Mhm, I’m not….As long as I have you I’ll be fine.” He said. Avril giggled. “Silly I’m hungry. How about I finish dressing and we’ll go out for lunch since its almost noon?” Evan got off her and grabbed her t-shirt. “Sounds good.” He put it on her and found a pair of jeans for her to wear. He put them on her and said, “Let’s go.” Avril hopped off her drawer and they walked out…

They found a cute little restaurant near her house and they decided to eat there. They stayed at the way back, not wanting to be bothered much. As they waited for their food, Avril moved around in her booth so she was sitting in between Evan’s legs. While she did that, Evan put his arms around her. They were really comfortable being with each other and touching constantly. “Mhm, you smell so good.” Evan murmured as he kissed the back of her neck. “Really?” Avril mumbled, enjoying the light, tickling feeling Evan’s lips gave on her body.

Evan wanted to go back to her house so they could continue, but he knew she was hungry.
“Here’s your food.” A waitress said, coming out with their food. They thanked her then Avril sat back in her seat. She grabbed a forkful of her food and said, “Ev, here you go.” Evan turned towards her and opened his mouth, taking her food in. He smiled and did the same to her. “I love you Evan.” She said, before feeding him. Evan ate his food and tthen said, “I love you too.” He fed her some, and that’s how the rest of the meal went…

“Evan, let’s go back now.” Avril said, winking at him as they got into her car. “Whatever you want maam.” He joked. They started to drive back to her house and along the way, Evan held her hand, kissing her arm with gentle kissed. Avril giggled at his touch and sighed happily. “Ph Eva, I love you so much.” Avril said proclaiming her love for him for the millionth time. “I love you too babe.” He said, kissing her hand. Both Avril and Evan felt right saying those words to each other, it just came out right and naturally. Their outward emotions was just a small sign of their strong feelings for each other…

Avril parked her car and got out of it. Evan waited for by her pouch as she walked up to the door. While Avril opened it, Evan came behind her, getting close to her while wrapping his around her body. “I love this little body.” He murmured, while closing his eyes to take the scent of her hair in. Avril lightly blushed and they walked into her house. When they got in, Evan forgot about everything, all on his mind was Avril. He kissed her everywhere, her lips, neck, shoulders, everywhere. Avril felt like a princess; she had never felt this good. She closed her eyes and waited for the feel of Evan’s lips on hers. When she felt his lips, she pulled him as close to her as she possibly could.

When Avril did that, Evan slowly brought his hand under her shirt, moving past her bra so he could gently feel her breast under his hand. As he gently felt her up, Avril squirmed under his touch. She giggled and lightly tickled Evan’s neck.

Avril started walking backwards toward her room, never breaking apart from Evan. Clumsily, they walked up the stairs with difficulty. When they got to her room, Evan grabbed her ass and Avril wrapped her legs around his waist. Evan walked to her bed and they fell onto her bed. Evan started lifting Avril’s shirt off and Avril let him. He then took her bra off while Avril just moaned.

When Evan took her breast into his mouth, Avril knew that she wanted to be with him for the rest of her life. She knew that no matter what happen, she would always love Evan. She knew that the magic, tingly feeling she got would always be there. She knew that the butterflies in her stomach would always be there whenever she saw him.

Avril thought about the first time that she knew that she liked Evan. She thought about how Evan was always there for her, trying to protect her. She thought about the drunken kiss they had shared. She thought about the fear she once had had about losing him. But now she knew he wouldn’t leave her; never.

Avril snapped back into it. “Evan…” she spoke up. Evan looked up and smiled. “Yes babe?” he asked sweetly. “I love you.” She said. Evan grinned, making his cheeks hurt. “I love you too.” He whispered. He got a bit closer to her and started to softly kiss her neck. And when he did that, Avril fell into a daydream… And about who? Why Evan of course…
