I heard all over the news that the need for plastic surgery, has gotten up really high, what do you think?

Plastic surgery is only "needed" in the case of severe disfigurement such as accidents or birth defects. So the "need" has not gone up. People are just stupid and think they need to spend thousands of dollars to look a certain way.

And I'm sure Extreme Makeover and The Swan (WORST SHOW EVER) don't help anything.

Oh God, my sister watches Extreme Makeover (including the home edition) and I will never forgive her for it. I mean, I'm sure people can look at me and nitpick what I could have "done", but to them I say, "Fuck off, get your own sandwich!"

...I think I mixed up that last bit with a commercial on T.V.

the stupid media makes people think they need it, but it is only needed after you got your skin really burned or something

And before this turns into a grammar argument.....

I'd rather not have fat injected into my lips. Yeah, that was random.

Yeah, plastic surgery, we'll it's not for everyone, everyone's got diiferent skin types, and diiferent bodies. I'm against it 100%, God gave you a body, be thankful for what you have.

Sharon Osborne...somewhere....made a very good point. Plastic surgery doesn't make sense for 18 year old girls, getting a nose job as a grad present. But if you are like ,50, and you know who you are, and are known for your personality and you want to get that flab lifted or whatever, then it's your chioce.

But for anyone under 50, and who hasn't though REALLY hard and talked about it, it's so stupid.

even at 18 you can know really well if you want it or not, sometimes other people can make it so hard for you if you don't quallify on the messures of this society (sp?)

Plastic surgeons piss me off much more than plastic surgery itself. They convince people they look bad and then drain their bank account to restore their self esteem. Gah.

^^ Yea.

When people have it done, just because they want to look "perfect" and because they have the money.. I think that's just a waste.

Then some of them look even worse, or regret it.. but if people want to mess with themselves like that, then that's up to them.
