Okay, I need help. My sound on my computer isn't working at all. I checked to see if everything was plugged in, and it is. I unplugged everything and plugged it back in to make sure nothing was loose and yet it still won't work. Anyone know what may be wrong with it?

Wow. Well gee... there's sooo many possible issues that it's hard to tell, especially when you're not using the comp.

What brand is your computer? (Dell, Gateway, etc.)

XxInnocentAngel

Compaq if that's what you're talking about.

Yeah... hmm, maybe you should call them. They can give you drivers to reinstall and tech your computer. :)

Eh, I guess I could call them, never thought about that actually. I'll do that tomorrow I guess, thanks Kyle.

Go here... Start - Programs - Accessories - Entertainment - Volume Control and when the volume control pops up in the bottom left hand corner what does it say? this way we can get you some drivers for you to install and see if that does the trick.

You know what would help? Thrusting a knife into the speakers. That'd do it.

Are you sure your sound card driver is loaded? And are you sure you've plugged it into the right hole (it should probably have a picture of speakers or headphones next to or underneath it)? Do you have a sound card? There could be a short in the wire of your speakers, check to see if it works with headphones.

That's just the tip of the iceberg with something so vague.

Let's see... a termination... If it has an article in front of it, it's pretty much a noun. And I believe what he was on about is that you said "Your on your way" instead of "You're on your way"

If you're going to criticize our grammer, learn your native language first.

I like saying peanut. Because it's on the cusp of being dirty, but it's also silly and a food.

Well if you are going to be picky about grammer you better learn nouns from verbs. A noun is a name of a person, animal or thing. They tell you what a sentence is about. Now in the context I said termination ie sticking a knief through a speaker would terminate it because it would no longer run or work. This makes it a verb as its a action.

I've heard things about you and your answer for everything back so hey... why dont we just leave it here...

*sigh*... Yes, terminate is a verb, but by adding the suffix -tion to it, you make it a noun. For example, to act is a verb, because it is a specific thing you are doing, you are acting. But by adding -tion and making it action, it becomes a noun, because it is an event that is taking place, you are performing an action, in which case performing is the verb, and action is the noun. Anytime it is a specific thing, or a specific idea (meaning you can add an article to it like the or a), the word is a noun.

If you've heard about how I answer back, you must have heard that I am incredibly anal and I don't leave anyone else with the last word, especially when they're wrong. And I will continue to drill it into your head as long as you continue to disagree with me. I am right, you are wrong. Next time, if you're smart, you'll just leave well enough alone, because I enjoy making long, heated replies such as this one, and I will do it every time I disagree with you.

I'm just nonplussed why he would choose to use that specific combination. "operation termination" sounds as if english is his second language. "Your on your way to operation termination that way."

how about?
"you're on your way to terminating your operation that way."

of course the obvious choice of words should have been,
"that's one way to shut down your computer."

I stoped reading here "because it is a specific thing you are doing, you are acting."

so you're a petty loser too, eh. It's okay, I don't take offense. I know that it's frusterating when you've been arguing on the wrong side for a long time.
