Forum:
Just in case you don't know who Sigmund Freud was, he was a psychologist in the late 1800's and early 1900's. He believed that everthing that a person did was subconscience, or not in their control. An example, men wore a neck tie to look like a penis, and other things, generally relating to sex. He believe that men were in some way "better" than women, and some people believe he was gay.
For those of you who know Freud better, good for you. I have some of his books.
After what I said, and with anyone's previous knowledge:
What do you think abotu Sigmund Freud and Freudian Psychology?

I don't think anything abotu Mr. Freud. And frankly, I'm shocked that everyone else doesn't know him from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Come on, people!
I've heard of him. He said that everything we do, and evan pain we feel has to do with something sexual. We read about Elizabeth Von R, who he diagnosed, in careers this year.

You have his books because he thinks men are superior, don't you, Emerson?

Truthfully, I haven't ever read any Freud. I don't particularly subscribe to his notions all that much. I think he took a certain angle with exploring the subconscious, but it was really only one route. Sure, I've read Oedipus the King, but I don't really think that Sophocles was trying to communicate any sort of universal truth regarding psychology (especially since the science of psychology didn't exactly exist in the same form back in his day). I do believe that Freud was a proponent of regressive hynotherapy, but perhaps I'm confusing him with someone else. Can anyone clarify who has more knowledge?

That totally reminded me of the Dilbert comics, where his tie is always curled up and if it's ever straight it means he had sex the night before.
I think Freud was sexually frustrated. That's why he thought everything everyone does is sexual.
