Artist: Yellowcard
Song: My Only One
Genre: pop-punk/emotional pop/self-proclaimed violin-rock

Review: This video is stupid. I used to just not like the song but it's grown on me. Now I just hate the video. It looks as if lead singer Ryan Key and Random Hired Model/Actress Girlfriend are out for a nice romantic walk and have stumbled across some sort of anti-war protest. They're clueless, though, and just sort of stay there. They act oblivious to the armed soldiers, and angry protesters, and just keep going. Ryan even removes a flower placed in a soldier's gun to give the girl. It's almost like reversing the statement made by the protester who put it there in the first place. And then they spin around in the middle of a cloud of possibly tear gas, because they got seperated in the crowd and then found each other. Then, as if paying some kind of lame homage to this famous photograph (click) (http://i.timeinc.net/time/time100/images/main_rebel.jpg), he and the girl stand seperated from the large crowd, in front of a line of tanks. Stop trying, Yellowcard. Your Ocean Avenue video was much better.

Okay, the video isn't good at all. But I find it really cute how they show that even through all that "destruction", that nothing can tear Ryan and the girl apart. It's such a nice song though.

The song's great. As for the video, I've seen it only once and from what I remember, it's nothing special.

Which is actually kind of funny, because if you listen to the song, the third verse makes it sound like he's leaving her.

Here I go so dishonestly
Leave a note for you my only one
And I know you can see right through me
So let me go and you will find someone

That part = Lame. I was like, 'What the hell? Holy flashback to a scene from Titanic.' I do NOT need to be reminded of that movie.

I would assume since I've seen it a couple times on Much Music. But it's not like MTV plays videos anymore, so it's no surprise you haven't seen it.

It seems Yellowcard are releasing Ocean Avenue over here (UK), this video seems to be everywhere at the moment. It's a pretty cool video, has a kind of repetitive thing going on...

I like the Ocean Avenue video, it has sort of a Groundhog day thing goin on. It's also by a really good director. He did the Brand New "Sic Transit Gloria" video which I also think is cool (but would've been cool if the guy had a knife in his hand at the end. But that's my morbid mind.)

quit that

I'd hate to be the parents of the violinist.

^Haha. The violinist scares me soooo badly, he needs to break that thing. But it's also kinda original, it just gets annoying after a while.

I heart YeLLowCarD still, though.

lol I think the video sucks, but I love the song. It shows a lot on MTV2 if you haven't seen it yet. The making of the video was so boring.
