Artist: Yellowcard
Song: My Only One
Genre: pop-punk/emotional pop/self-proclaimed violin-rock
Review: This video is stupid. I used to just not like the song but it's grown on me. Now I just hate the video. It looks as if lead singer Ryan Key and Random Hired Model/Actress Girlfriend are out for a nice romantic walk and have stumbled across some sort of anti-war protest. They're clueless, though, and just sort of stay there. They act oblivious to the armed soldiers, and angry protesters, and just keep going. Ryan even removes a flower placed in a soldier's gun to give the girl. It's almost like reversing the statement made by the protester who put it there in the first place. And then they spin around in the middle of a cloud of possibly tear gas, because they got seperated in the crowd and then found each other. Then, as if paying some kind of lame homage to this famous photograph (click) (http://i.timeinc.net/time/time100/images/main_rebel.jpg), he and the girl stand seperated from the large crowd, in front of a line of tanks. Stop trying, Yellowcard. Your Ocean Avenue video was much better.
