Unless my moderators have objections, this is the politic I'll adopt towards spam.
I personally think that spam can be good if used in moderation. You go to forums to meet new people, chat with friends, spend some time.. and its most fun when the atmosphere is relaxed and care-free. But sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad. So for those who spam, here are basic rules I'd like you to consider:
- Don't spam up good discussion threads.. for example, MahsPayne's thread was spammed for no reason, and had to be closed by Marie, who did exactly what she was supposed to do :D But thats unfair to MashPayne--everyone is entitled to an introduction right? Good thing we have this split topic option. So just be considerate to others' threads.
- Don't double-post.. although this can be acceptable occasionnally, usually a simple edit of your post could have done the same as raping that poor post-reply button. The edit button is lonely, give it some lovin'.
- When you see its becoming purely a conversation between 2 individuals, use pms. There is a whole system implemented so you can have some privacy in your conversations. 'Bring me a bracelet at school tomorrow' is not material for a post.. we don't need to know how whipped vatjui really is ;)
Anyways, let me know what you people think of this.. As you can see, these rules are laid-back and apply maybe to 2-3 people.. the rest of you are posting fine :) The forum is for you, to have fun, but if spam starts to ruin orther people's fun, then measures will have to be taken to make it stop.
