Rules!

I think all forums need rules, especially when the forum gets crowded with members. The people of higher power should start stating some rules like the maximum size of our sigs, etc. Also, I think there should be a time limit between our posts (like 30 seconds) to prevent spammers from spamming the boards.

there is a time limit...i believe its currently 15secs....
if there are spammers doin no good, we could easily ban their ip address to prevent further posts..

about the size of siggies...i dont think its a prob now, but may be..but b/c some ppl arent knowledgable of sizes and editing images, so that wouldnt make a dif...we cant limit the sizes in the forum software b/c the sigs arent on its server...but it were to ever get out of hand, we will notify the member and the sig may be remvoved by admin if it is seriously large...

we will establish rules and everything else...we're focusing on getting the site back up, once thats taken care of, we'll focus on making the boards a better place :wink:

Yeah the rules'll come with time.. if you guys got any, don't be afraid to suggests some.

My only consern with sigs is that if you give people too much freedom, you end up with sigs that never end, filled with huge images and text that goes on forever. Its true it doesn't take much server space, but it takes alot of loading time for people with slower modems.. and I like the forum pages to be clean (not like eFG.. gawd thats a nightmare to my eyes ;))

Anyways.. usually the basic rule of thumb on sigs is that, if the sig is larger than your average posts, then there's a problem =P

But like oLiE said, we're not very picky on details right now, our main goal is to make the boards and site as enjoyable as possible.
