O M G! Last night was amazing! Avril was just brilliant! So, i'll take you through the event :D. Well, I met Sheryl and we waited for WAAAAAAAY too long, lol, then we got inside and Sheryl managed to get a standing ticket like me, so we went and stood at the front. I was at the bar and Sheryl was behind me. So, we waited again and Simple Plan come on. They were really great, a really great live act. I'm considering going to see them when they tour...
So anyway, after some more waiting Avril finally came on :D. She looked amazing, she's so perfect! She started with He Wasn't and she played guitar. Basically, throughout the whole night she was brilliant, she was running arund the stage and jumping up and down. She played both piano and guitar and she was awesome at both. She sang REALLY well, even better than her last tour!
Devin and Craig did backing vocals, but they were nowhere near as good as Evan was. There doesn't seem to be any connection between Avril and the band now it just seems like Avril. And her band. Before, Evan sort of connected them, because he and Avril had an amazing stage presence, they bounced off each other really well -- that doesn't seem to be apparant anymore.
Anyway, she ended with Slipped Away and she played the piano on stage on her own. The boys had gone off.
Her set lasted for about an hour and 20 minutes and she was just amazing throughout :D.
*Sigh* - I'm in love with her all over again :blush:
