View Full Version : Another reason America pisses me off.

Anyway it was one find Sunday and we had a trip out to a Town called Whitby a few miles out of York to have some good ole fish and chips at the coast. Anyway on the way we drive over the North Yorkshire moors where the Americans decided to put their early warning missle/nuke radar slap bang in the middle totaly spoiling our scenery.

So I decided to stop and take a picture of the big massive grey elephant... we must have been there five minutes and who pulls up... the mother fucking military po-leece with po-leece dogs... one I was not too happy because I has weed on me and those dogs would like any excuse to get there chops round someone. Secondly this dickhead MP tells me I have to delete all the pictures I'd taken of the base!... I was of course being a left-wing liberal about it all laying down my rights of how this was where I live but hey I forgot, I was on AMERICAN soil, which means I had no rights, duhhh, so it was either delete them or loose the camera to these dickheads... and that really pissed me right off!

So next time any of you say anything along the lines of mind your own business what America does has nothing to do with me you are wrong... it has everything to do with me seeing as you god damn Americans own land in my county (state).

Anyway we bezzed off pretty promptly, and very pissed off at that, but I got my lowsy pictures anyway... not as good as the close ups I did get but hey... one was taken from the car, the other from a roman road on a hill.

Johno, what the hell?

I'm sick of the way you bash America. If you want to bitch about the U.S., then first you have to live here. It's great here-- and you can't say a word of your thoughts as you aren't even CLOSE to us, you're goddamn 5,000 miles away of water!

Is this really something worth bitching about? That you can't take pictures of American military bases? In short no, but thats not the reason for my being pissed, I just think its really fucked up I'm being told I cant stand in said location taking a picture in my own county because of your stupid anti-terrorist laws...

If you want to bitch about the U.S., then first you have to live here. It's great here-- and you can't say a word of your thoughts as you aren't even CLOSE to usI think Tony Blairs dick right up George W's' ass constitutes as CLOSE. When my prime ministers having a sexual relationship with your president its all my business.

But yes your right Kyle maybe it is nothing to do with me, but then again why am I getting fucked over by US anti-terror laws in my own bloody county... I dont see you getting moved on with any UK laws now.

I think its even more then that Nighty. And johno Your only bashing U.S cause uoi hate the shit hole that is the U.K. I would do anything to move thier U.S rocks thats were all the best shit hapends
I dont hate any country, I only hate the governments that run them... a big difference... I'll be the first to admit the USA is one kick ass country, but its government is pretty much tyranical.

@Lamer, haha... I like canada though. Haven't been there, but I think it'd be nice. :)

@Johno: it's not like we're FORCING the UK to have us there, we have permission to have a base. But when terriost attacks come to your area, hopefully you'll be happy the U.S. likes to get their noses in other people's asses.

both countries have fucked up laws . there .

~Johno~
10-08-2005, 02:18 PM
In all fairness Kyle yes we are, we the people of the UK had no say in the matter, they just stuck them there and labeled them Royal Air Force Bases... clever boys eh, and to top it off your missle defense system keeping you safe and tucked up in bed on a night doesn't even cover the UK in the event of a missle attack... but hey for some reason we are the chumps in Yorkshire who home all your missle defense systems.

Remember the son of star wars shit? they wanted to stick them missle silos at that base... luckily the UK public as well as activist told you to fuck off because we'd become a bigger target than we are already and we also now have a PM who listens to half of what we say.

Do you not see the big picture here besides some guy telling me I cant take pictures?

If someone wants to attack the USA with missles they first have to take out half of Yorkshire and thats easy because your anti-ballistic missles cant reach the UK... and this is where I live! 5000 miles away of water remember. And in 1995 this may have become a reality... oh you dont remember when a nuclear war nearly broke out between Russia and the US?

1995. Russia detected a rocket they couldn't identify, thought it was a nuke and nearly launched a full scale strike on America.

Exactly who gets a bat out with a nuke first... oh Johno does because he lives about 30 miles away from an american early warning radar... so dont give us non of that... you dont live here you cant say shit attitude... any nuke attack on america instantly involves the death of me, some may say huzzah, but then again... at least I didnt know it was coming... you other poor bastards will know your about to die... muwah ha ha harrr.

Death in a Bottle

Because we're the most powerful military in the world, and that's what we do with our allies, both to protect ourselves and them. I don't get what you guys are whining about. We don't have bases there because we're your enemy and we need to watch out for you. We have them there because Great Britain is the last land point between Europe and the United States coast, and thus is a very strategic place for both attack and defense. And since we are such close allies with Britain, we combine our military strength so that both countries are protected. Why doesnt' Englad put bases here, you ask? Becuase what strategic end would they gain by doing that? Protection in case Canada or South America attacks them? The militaries of all the NATO countries are so closely affiliated and intertwined now that at times it's hard to distinguish one from the other. All of them work together. And yes, the U.S. is the leader of this alliance, and so we have the most foreign power and influence, but everything we do in Europe is just as focused on protecting our allies as it is on protecting ourselves.

Some fucked up leader the US is. And NATO is not something for one country to lead, but where all countries work together. Same as the UN....but we all know the American government's opinion of THAT.

Oh, and I'd just like to say in response to any "military power" or "we're so great" and "the french are fucking pussies" statements and the like....that America wouldn't be a fucking country if it weren't for the French. Most countries, in fact, that America refuses to listen to or even consider made the States what it is today. So watch out. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

Death in a Bottle

I don't get what there is to complain about. The world today is actually a relatively stable and peaceful place compared to most other times in recent history... Isn't that the most important thing? As for the United States, we're really not doing that bad of a job. What is there that the U.S. is doing wrong right now? Iraq? Okay, sure, that's a stupid war... But how much does that really affect the rest of us? It affects the people over there and the families of our soldiers. Other than that, on a global scale, it's really a small thing, and the fact that the Iraq war is the most significant global event going on right now is pretty impressive. It's been a long time since our biggest worry was something as small as Iraq.

In addition, I never said America was the greatest or the French are pussies or anything... I said we have the most powerful military and thus assume the natural role of being the most prominent decision-maker. I also never said that every policy America had was a good one. But overall, I think you guys give us a lot more shit than we really deserve, because things are actually going pretty well right now.

NATO? NATO allowed Russian Su-27 enter the air zone of my country and wouldn't probably even know aboot it if the dumbass pilot wouldn't smash the fucking machine into a forest. So the next week that happened the government asked the US air forces to take the lead of the defence in here. Speaks volumes.

Then try thinking about then when you bash Americans in general.

~Johno~
10-17-2005, 07:58 PM
Can you elaborate in more detail what you mean by general?

And I'd just like to point out a flaw in your whole argument, at what point in that paragraph did I mention anything about the American people?

Death in a Bottle
10-17-2005, 09:24 PM
I believe she is simply saying you're a little too liberal with your terminology. You often refer to "The Americans" fucking things up, or, "It's the typical American thing to do," or "That's what Americans are like." If it's really the government and not the people you hold contempt for, then you should specify.

~Johno~
10-18-2005, 05:50 PM
Well one should not assusme, I dont believe this is the first time I've specifically said its your government I have a problem with, and I've said I like America as a country and the majority of its peoples but if people are going to join in debates and jump on the first bandwagon they see thats there problem, I'll just make them look stupid.

Anyway I thank your government for stopping 357,000 of 475,000 meals sent at a cost of £2,5million ($4,4million) of the UK tax payers money reaching New Orleans because of your stupid embargo on British beef... it aint just you Canada dont worry, but of course the White House swears no one went hungry because of it, beggars cant be choosers.

Death in a Bottle

Oh so your reffering to a different paragraph now, anyway that was used in the form of an interjection to express irritation and disappointment towards the Americans so it was more of an expression than a brassing.

Death in a Bottle
10-20-2005, 02:09 PM
...You're detracting completely from her point, dumbass. Who cares what paragraph it was in, her point was that you bash Americans. And you're still referring directly to the Americans no matter what you intended it to be, so neither of those arguments are defenses at all.

And Punkin... Is it really necessary to censor goddamn? WE're not in the third grade anymore, come on.

narrator

she'd rather not profain her god.

but anyway, johno stop being such a dumbass penis and just admit you hate each and every person that lives in america, some a lot, some not much, but there's still that underlying burning hate for the myopia, ignorance and gluttony that can't help but define us all, whether we agree with it or not, in a republic. like it or not, everyone here over 18 is a functioning or non functioning piece of the government.

and if you're gonna criticize, it doesn't do well to acknowledge everything as the problem when clearly you're criticizing specifics rather than the whole. otherwise you're just advocating revolution, which would most likely leave more turmoil, death and disarray than any current situation, to wit, advocating that is just a copout of the initial complaint.

unless of course your problem wasn't all the people dead/dying, going hungry or possibly being struck be a missile, nuclear or otherwise. if you're okay with with the destruction than i guess it's not a copout.

nationalism is fucking retarded as hell... maybe as retarded as hatred. one starts a war and one keeps it going. hobbes was right.
