ur welcome...it's just i saw that so many people wanted to know what it meant and everyone was like avril means april but they tried to translate lavigne as a whole instead of disecting it

it doesn't mean anything, imo, if you're trying to translate it...honestly, i'm getting a bit tired of "what does her name mean?" (sorry.)

its like saying what your name means...if you're named john, what does that mean? sure, you could look it up in a name book and have it tell you what it represents, yada yada yada...but not much more than that. also, i've never heard of a name book that includes last names.

avril could translate into april, i don't know. i DO know that etienne=steven, michel=michael, etc. but its not what it translates from, just the equivalent of it in our language. you're not going to call a guy named michel "michael," just like you wouldn't call avril "april."

well...i know if someone is named avril doesn't mean that her name means april. it translates to april but doesn't necessarily have to mean april. but some people wanted to know what it translated to or what it "means" because it's french. honestly it just came up and i thought maybe those people would like to know.
