Weekend Wedding for Avril?
Canada's punky pop star, Avril Lavigne, is reportedly set to marry rock star Deryck Whibley in California this weekend.
Gossip sites are buzzing with the word that Lavigne and Whibley, lead singer for rockers Sum 41, are preparing for a traditional ceremony in Santa Barbara this weekend. A spokesperson for Nettwerk, which manages both artists, had no comment on the reports. Celebrity magazines and websites have been anticipating a ceremony for weeks, especially after Lavigne was recently seen receiving gifts and celebrating what appeared to be a wedding shower with friends. The rock couple, who began dating in early 2004, have been engaged a little more than a year. Whibley proposed to Lavigne in June 2005, while she was on her European tour.
