Avril engaged, getting married in Napanee?
Avril made front page news today in my local paper the Ottawa Citizen. With a blown up picture of her enjoying a moment in a Venice park with Deryck from Sum41, there was an article about Avril getting engaged and the possibility of getting married in Napanee.
Avril's home town hears wedding bells The possibility of a Napanee ceremony for Avril Lavigne already has residents buzzing, writes Chris Lackner. Imagine a small crowd of friends and family gathered around her at a Royal Canadian Legion hall, filled with pleather chairs, dart boards and exotic flowers. It could all be a reality if the newly engaged Ms. Lavigne decides to have her wedding in her home town of Napanee, Ont. A U.S. magazine reported that the 20-year-old Ms. Lavigne is now engaged to Deryck Whibley, the 25-year-old frontman for the band Sum 41. Mr. Whibley reportedly proposed to her over the weekend while Ms. Lavigne was finishing the European leg of her current tour. The two Canadian rockers began dating in 2004. People in Ms. Lavigne's birthplace greeted the news with enthusiasm and suggestions for the perfect wedding. Everyone from Napanee florists to bakers had ideas yesterday of how to create a dream wedding for Ms. Lavigne... I don't really have an opinion on them getting married, so um, congratulations.
